What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Hey guys, been a lurker, trying to find out more about the Stinger.
This site has been wonderful help, and I was able to get my Stinger GT2 today.

2019 GT2 RWD
MSRP: 51840
Dealer Discount: 5200
Lease Cash: 10700
Winter incentive: 1000
$34,950 before any tax, lic, and fees

Other dealers nearby couldn't even come anywhere close!

Holy crap. What dealer is this? Didn't think Socal could get 10k+ in lease cash.

Would you mind telling me who you worked with/emailed?

Can't find the PM function here. Does this forum have one?
Am I allowed to give specific name on this site?
If so, I'd be more than willing to share the name.

Thanks

Wish me luck everyone!

Found a white GT2 with $2,000 in incentives, $11,000 in lease cash. MSRP $54,000(rounded) and going for $41,000 with a 2 year agreement.

Test driving it tomorrow or Thursday. I want a GTS but this is a killer deal IMO.

"$2,000 in incentives"...is that the dealer discount? You should be able to do much better than that. I'm shooting for at least 10% off of MSRP and then the $12,000 lease rebate on top of that. I'm waiting until Black Friday though...hoping the end of the month they will be more willing to negotiate.

I’m thinking that’s the dealer discount plus another $11,000 for the lease. I think that’s something like 24% off MSRP overall...I’m pretty content with that but I’ll take more if they want to give it up, lol.

It’s fine but remember that $11k is from Kia Motor Finance. It doesn’t come out of the dealers pocket. They can do a lot better than $2k off.

Ohhhh, I totally get that. Super good point there.

I’ll take additional dealer cash off OR higher trade in value. Six of one or half a dozen of the other.

Here's what I ended up with a few days ago for a new 2019 GT2 RWD:
- MSRP: $51,945
- Negotiated Price: $46,519 (before incentives)
- Incentives: $11,500 (I thought it was supposed to be less, but dealer claimed to have some extra)
- Effective Selling Price*: $35,019
- Total Paid**: $41,069
- No trade-in, zero down payment, no dealer add-ons, baseline doc fees, etc. It was pretty clean.
- 24 month lease+buyout hack.

* Before all taxes and fees.
** Represents literally every penny that leaves me. Includes sales tax, govt fees, lease acquisition fee, early purchase fee, one month of lease rent charge, etc.

I've seen a bunch of people do better, but I didn't have time to keep shopping around. Honestly, I feel like I was the sucker in the room, but I'll just try to put it all behind me.

I think that is a solid price right there! Our big difference is that I’m sticking with AWD and I’ve noticed a slightly higher price on those.

Eh, it’s only money and can’t bring it with ya, lol.

Can you please share the name of the dealership, and if possible, the salesperson's name? Thanks.

Which dealer did you go with in NorCal? I contacted Stevens Creek Kia and their cap cost on a GT1 RWD was $1.5k higher than your selling price. Manteca KIA told me that the quote I got from Stevens Creek was a good price and I just gave up on looking at Stingers for now.

I just bought a GT2 for $40k. MSRP $52250. Great car , great price.

I just email a dealer in Columbia SC. I asked what they would sell my the car for. I have searched long and hard for the gray package and found it there. They came back at $40k. Military also. I then worked on trading a 2018 GTi Autobahn. They did ok on the trade too. I wanted $24k and they went $23k. So I wrote a check for $17.8k and drove 90 miles home in a new GT2. Beautiful car. I have wanted this car from the day they came out. I have owned 2 other KIA vehicles, a basic Soul back 2012 and a 2016 Optima SXL, both great cars, also white and no issues.

I'm having the absolute toughest time in talking with dealers here in NC. I've got 5 cars that I targeted, all within a couple hundred dollars MSRP based on minor add-ons, otherwise, same color combo. I'm trying to do the lease buyout hack on a GT2 AWD, and have had 2 dealers so far scoff at going below invoice, prior to factoring in the incentive. The remainder are not wanting to talk numbers over the phone, and want me to come in. I keep explaining to them that I live at least 3 hours away, so I'm not going to take half a day to drive there unless I know what I'm working with. Am I being unrealistic?

I'm in the same boat. All the GT2's I am interested in are over 2.5hrs away and I've already drove to many other dealers "saying" they can do what I want and then I drive out and it's never as how we agreed to. I'm just not willing to waste the gas and time to keep doing this. But...they'll email me 100 times a day trying to get me in. Sucks because the inventory is getting low and I want to take advantage of the current incentives!

The prices a good amount of members got for their GT1 RWD, I should have flown to (________) state then ship the car. All in hindsight.

Yet, it doesn't take away from a great car and I'm happy with my purchase. I'm all about looking forward. :)
