So when i first got my racechip i tested out all the settings they had and only race mode gave a sort of chugging effect so I stepped it down to sport and problem solved, but now I've had it for sometime and I just filled my gas tank with 91 and used a full bottle of Lucas Octane booster (which if my math is correct that's 97 octane fuel) and now I feel the chugging in any setting above level 3. I feel the chugging mostly in 3rd at 5k - 6.5k rpms and than slightly in 4th at 6ish k rpms.

I've got Injen intakes, W1 dual inlet catch can, RaceChip and Denson plugs gapped to .022 I'm currently at 2.3k miles on the car. AWD GT2 2019 Model Stinger

Any logs? My uneducated guess is you have a fuel quality/octane problem or a spark plug problem.

Probably boost oscillation from the mapping strategy being used. We've had it crop up in a few JB4 firmware versions and maps from time to time.

What should I do than? Cus like I said at first I could run setting 5 with no issues and now setting 4 and 5 are giving me the stutter but setting 3 is still good.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You're not going to like my advice but it involves getting rid of race chip and installing a tune that actually takes in some of your engine data to control the tuning. Like JB4. ;)

JB4 can be detected by mechanics, RaceChip can't. I guess I need to contact @RaceChip for support

Who told you that? It's fake news. The JB4 has a much lower diagnostic footprint than the RaceChip due to its fuel control and CANbus system.

A mechanic who has had both, it's also much harder to uninstall when I need to take the car I'm to the dealership. @Terry@BMS

He's giving you false information. The JB4 is the most diagnostically invisible tune out there for the platform.

With the JB4 you can install just the basic TMAP+MAP connections if you want. OBDII is optional, fuel control wires are optional. They both provide big advantages but if you really wanted to shave 10 min off your install skip them.

With the JB4 basic TMAP+MAP connections it would more or less function as your racechip does now. But the big difference would be someone on the other end of your posts to actually offer you assistance rather than the crickets racechip is delivering. :)

I will say that the ONLY two reasons I didnt get JB4 were because of the ones I stated. It takes me legit 5 mins to uninstall and 10 mins to install (re-zipieing is a pain). Everything else Jb4 comes out ahead

The JB4 really isn't much more work. At a min the OBDII cable routes around the door jamb so you're talking about 30 seconds to your install time.

Which is a visceral betrayal to my obsessive need to make things look professional. But in any case. If I got a JB4 than I'd be burdened with trying to sell my Racechip to the non existent KIA Stingers out here, who undoubtedly already have JB4. Which I know of one and he does infact have JB4 on his stinger.

Maybe the mechanic who has the race chip and JB4 can help you figure out the issue. Plus if he is around you he could see the car first hand. Or racechip support team can help. Without logs, not much anyone can do to help over the thread. I hope you can get it resolved so you can get back to driving smoothly.

How can I get logs, I asked him and he said he hasnt expierenced that issue, his stinger has JB4 and his other car has RaceChip so it's like comparing apples to oranges.

@Terry@BMS okay I slept on it, I'm going to buy the JB4. I want the phone app, but I wanna make sure that a mechanic wont be able to detect the use of a piggy back tune, so which setup would I be forced to use, or can I use the entire thing?

“I wanna make sure that if I hoon this thing and break it... Kia pays for it. “

man up.

if you aren’t willing to pay, don’t play.

If I wasnt man enough to pay for it I wouldn't of bought a gt2, but thanks for bringing your blatant douchebaggery into my thread, it has brightened my day to know that their are some people who have nothing better to do than to scroll through forums and troll.

P.s. their is a difference between paying for something if you broke it and wanting to get your money's worth out of a warranty you paid for without the warranty being denied over something as small as an intake and piggy back tune.

We all know why people want an “untraceable” tuning solution.

you aren’t talking about just a cold air intake or cat back.

paaahleeeasase.
