Flooring the pedal 15-20 times a day on average

I am certain I am in the minority here but I like the Mustang Mach-E and I think the name was the only way they were ever going to compete with Tesla for marketing.

When someone says “Electric Vehicle” you automatically think “Tesla”. Kind of like when someone says “Tissue” you Automatically think “Kleenex”. That is really hard to compete against. Therefore, Ford has to use their iconic brand to compete in this already dominated space.

To me the Mach-E looks like a proper four door mustang SUV. The front end looks better than a Tesla model 3 or model Y and I actually think the rear end is great. I like the Mustang inspired tail lights.

I fully understand I am in the minority on this but that Mustang Mach-E looks like an absolute bargain.

For Stinger money you get a lot of bang for the buck. Plus the fact that unlike most Tesla cars you still get the government $7,500 tax credit with the Mustang Mach-E.

I think as long as the car is reliable and meets all of the performance figures for the prices they have stated it will be an absolute home run for them.

It needs a performance version if they're going to use the Mustang name. GT, whatever. 0-60 in 7 seconds is not fast for an electric.

I understand price point and budget, but if you're going to name it after a performance car (not to mention MACH), please have some performance.

And with that, I just realized the topic train has successfully derailed lol. Oops, my bad.

As much as I don’t like the name, I’ve kept up with it. The base model has a mid 5 second 0-60, and there is a coming GT model that will be mid 3 second 0-60.

The GT version does 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds for $60k minus the $7,500 tax credit. That is Corvette C8 performance per dollar money.

Then what was Top Gear rattling off in their video. Apparently their data was incorrect, or I should have acquired more statistics. Or Europe gets a special slow version lol.

Serves me right for only pulling data from a single source. I actually quit watching the video immediately after seeing that stat.

Therein lies the problem. A Mustang is not and should never be a four door SUV. Call it literally anything else on-brand (Fairlane... Falcon... hell, Custom EV Deluxe, I don't care), and release alongside it an actual RWD electric 2+2 sports car called a Mustang to cap off the lineup.

There's a 3 lane street that is 13 km (8 miles) long close to me with no speed cameras at all. I floor it mostly there and reached the speed of 235 km/h (146 mph) on that street before a pickup truck driver stopped me from going any faster on the passing lane but most of the time I'm just worried about the moving speed cameras. They have a lot of them placed across the city but I always drove past the speed limit on the 13 km street and haven't noticed anything.

I'll say! Considering I'm paying $cdn 1.78 per litre ($usd 5.08 ) for shit shell91 or shittyer chevron94.
Similar price in Oz. Welcome home Billy.

Speed cameras are the scourge of performance car drivers. Hate them.

That's not saying much, the blunt nose on both looks like it's been run into a wall. Still maybe better than the Acura parrot beak ;)

Do you think it's really that bad to floor the pedal 15-20 times a day on average? It's fun and I can't stop myself from doing it over and over. Does anybody else do it and what are the longterm consequences? It's the 2.0T and I got it almost 5 months ago and I've been doing it since then but I haven't noticed any problems yet.
The only long term consequence is going to be in your pocket and in your ankle, you will most likely develop Osteoarthritis of your right ankle.

Premium 93 octane is about $2.50 here on the East Coast at some Costco gas stations. That is quite reasonable for US prices.

I misunderstood some information. The fuel I use is 98 octane or RON whatever they call it as it's so confusing, according to what I've seen so I thought that in the US it meant 93 octane fuel so I'm still not sure whether it's 98 or 93 but I had to say this
