Do you think it's really that bad to floor the pedal 15-20 times a day on average? It's fun and I can't stop myself from doing it over and over. Does anybody else do it and what are the longterm consequences? It's the 2.0T and I got it almost 5 months ago and I've been doing it since then but I haven't noticed any problems yet.

You'll find if you do it to often you get creases at both sides of your mouth often referred to as "smile lines", oil of Ulan and charcoal face masks will help but there comes a point where the damage is irreversible, unless you go full on with the "speeding fine cure", once you get a few of those you start to counteract the upward smile creases and vertical shift them down therein causing the downward frown appearance, used skillfully can completely remove smile lines, obviously this isn't scientifically proven but I'm sure a few people in the forums have had this phenomenon.

Floor that pedal as many times as you want SFM. The car is made for it and you only live once. Plus you can always get plastic surgery on the smile lines. :)

You need to get the V6TT then. The 2.0T is fine but it sounds like you need the quicker car.

I'll leave well enough along on obvious things I noticed. In actuality, flooring does increase the rate of wear on a vehicle in various components, there is no getting away from this fact. Where the variation comes into play is whether the car is stock or not, the quality of lubricants, age of the car, fuel quality, initial build quality from the manufacturer and how robust the associated parts that do see wear are "overbuilt."

Besides those facts, I agree that you only live once, enjoy it. If you wear something out in 5 years and don't want to fix it, just dump the car and get something new that you like. Cars are fairly robust these days anyway.

Well, I'm new to the car stuff so when I went to get a car at Kia's dealership over here I saw the Stinger and I liked it. Never thought that it would have a V6 so after I finished and signed all the paperwork they told me that they have a more powerful engine. The V6 wasn't in their showroom and it looked like they weren't bothered to get one anyway so I went with the 2.0T. The cost difference between the 2.0T and 3.3TT was roughly $10,000.

I'm going to get another Stinger in about 4 years from now and it's going to be specifically the 3.3TT unless they add a more powerful engine than the 3.3TT.

They will probably discontinue the Stinger by then. SUVs are selling much better right now.

Or the Stinger will transition to a SUV...like the Mustang Mach E...…

It's 2019, so we aren't allowed to judge what our vehicles identify as.

10 year power train.
Floor away.
I believe it is seven years "over there". But point made.

OP: imho, that is excessive. But I'm an old fart, annoyingly negative about too many things, and have lost most of my sense of FUN. Of course, having a Stinger has reversed these issues somewhat. And in my less negative moments, I think there is still hope for me. I still believe that I will never track this car: I got it to cruise and take roads trips in, and PASS FAST with (for the first danged time in my lengthening life, heh!). And, I do floor it several times a week: just not anywhere near 15-20 times a day. :P

Gas is almost free there isnt it ?, why not 30 -49 times per day

Mach-E Mustang.
The most pathetic marketing approach ever taken.
wait till you see the new Corvette SUV ,.................consider a Porsche SUV , Lambo SUV , Maseratti SUV etc etc . ......welcome to the new universe ! the Mach E will be HUGE !!!

I am certain I am in the minority here but I like the Mustang Mach-E and I think the name was the only way they were ever going to compete with Tesla for marketing.

When someone says “Electric Vehicle” you automatically think “Tesla”. Kind of like when someone says “Tissue” you Automatically think “Kleenex”. That is really hard to compete against. Therefore, Ford has to use their iconic brand to compete in this already dominated space.

To me the Mach-E looks like a proper four door mustang SUV. The front end looks better than a Tesla model 3 or model Y and I actually think the rear end is great. I like the Mustang inspired tail lights.

I fully understand I am in the minority on this but that Mustang Mach-E looks like an absolute bargain.

For Stinger money you get a lot of bang for the buck. Plus the fact that unlike most Tesla cars you still get the government $7,500 tax credit with the Mustang Mach-E.

I think as long as the car is reliable and meets all of the performance figures for the prices they have stated it will be an absolute home run for them.

Well, it isn't almost free but it costs US$2.26 per gallon ($0.60 per litre) for 93 octane fuel

Premium 93 octane is about $2.50 here on the East Coast at some Costco gas stations. That is quite reasonable for US prices.
