I'm looking at your pics and wondering about that black strip covering the chrome piece that runs along the top of the windows? I pulled mine off because I thought the dealer forgot to take off the protective film. Was I suppose to leave that?? It came right off at the end while I was wiping the car and I just pulled the whole strip away.

The black strip is just protective plastic, to cover the chrome strip from the factory to the final dealership, the dealership should of removed it, other members have had the same issue, so it was right of you to remove it.
