I had HUDs in my last 2 BMWs, And has quickly become a must have option for me.
As I wait for my stinger, I was curious if the owners who have received there stingers and have never had a HUD before, if they like it? I hardly ever have to look at the gauges anymore when I have the hud on. I’m hoping Kia’s version is good..

I see now on the new BMW’ it shows what lane to take in the hud as well as the directions. Pretty soon the huds will take you p the bottom half of over windshields..!

Best HUD I've ever had !

Not new to Luxury car brands, but my first with a HUD. It's actually one of the reasons I loved the Stinger. I have no comparison but in this day and age I won't be buying a car without a HUD any more.

First time having a HUD and I love it. I rarely look down at the dash anymore.

I really like the HUD, but I'm still finding myself looking at the speedometer to see how close I am to catching the attention of the police, but I'll eventually adjust.

How well does it work with polarized sunglasses? I've heard some HUDs aren't visible, or are severely dim, when wearing them.

Huge fan of the HUD!

IMO HUD is one of those things that isn't critical to have if you've never had one. But once you have you'll want to have that feature in every car you get in the the future.

I ordered a HUD for the first time on my Jag F-Pace in Dec 2016. First time I'd used one, but really wanted have one in a car to see what it was like, and as I spending a ton on the car anyway, an extra thousand wasn't a big issue.

After having it a year I won't buy a car without one now. I knew the Stinger could have a HUD, hence why I decided to look at it more closely.

During the test drive in a GT S (GT2 in USA) I was expecting the HUD to be at best as good as the Jag, but probably just below it ... however it was sharper, more detailed, and the sat-nav Directions were more detailed! This is the 2nd time I've been shocked by Kia's electronic's, not just by exceeding expectations, but blowing them out the water! For reference the first time was the sat-nav system in my 2012 Sorento ... was expecting a cheap Tom-Tom Rip-Off .. but was shocked how good it was!

Will never buy another car without a HUD - a huge safety feature!

I'd had HUD for 20 years on a "lowly" Pontiac. When I started looking for a car two years ago, I was shocked at how many really nice cars didn't have it as an option, and how many salespeople had no idea what I was talking about. Well, a little less shocked by that last part. I agree with all of you who've said you'd never do without it again.

This is my first ride with HUD and can tell that any future rides, HUD will be a must have option. I did have to swap out my polarized lenses.

This is a standard issue with all HUD's in cars, and not specific to Kia.

I went for a nice drive today in my new Stinger (yay!) in varying light conditions (direct sun, thick trees/forest, different road surfaces). I was wearing my polarized sunglasses. The HUD is mostly visible, but I have a pair of non polarized glasses on the way just for driving because it was pretty dim and faint with the polarized lenses unless it's fairly dark outside or the asphalt is dark.

While driving home from the dealership last night I thought my HUD was defective because it wasn't visible at all, or was flickering dimly, most of the time. Current theory (salesman's best guess, as I contacted him about this) is moisture from washing the windows during detailing fogging over the projector, even though the windshield was not fogged up. It worked perfectly today in daylight, so if it continues to work OK day and night then I don't have any better ideas. Good excuse for a night drive, I guess, to verify that it wasn't a night time only issue! ;-) Has anyone else noticed anything similar tied to moisture/fogging?

The colors in the HUD can be changed, if that may help anyone's visibility issues.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the blind spot monitor alerts appear on the HUD. Both sides too!
