Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

This afternoon at about 3.30pm on Berrigan Drive, Jandakot a white GT. And plates started with 1GTA so it wasn’t you AV8R.

I saw a DCB Stinger GT at about 8:30am at the roundabout corner of Anzac/Goodwin/Commissioners Roads in Denistone this morning.

The funny thing is, even though I have owned one for almost 6 months, I am always thinking when i spot one, 'Wow what a nice car' and then I realize it is a Stinger. Go figure.

Get used to that. I still go through that thought process every time (as recently as yesterday), and I've had mine for 21 months.

This morning, followed a black GT AWD (couldn't tell if it's the GT/GT1/GT2) on Highway 94 to Highway 70 eastbound, then was about to pull up next to him/her, but they exited on 5th Street right after getting on. It had a Napleton Kia license plate frame, as well as a Napleton sticker below the Stinger badge, no front plate.

This is a record for me....I saw a red Stinger on Franford at 2 ish pm.....lookin good....then at 5pm on the same road, Yep another red Stinger...I don't think it was the same one.... Wash

5:30pm Pacific Hwy Wyoming, ceramic grey GT. We ended up next to each other, I pulled slightly in front due to traffic. They ended up next to me again, passenger gave me a wave and a thumbs up, before they managed to get in front and I changed lanes and followed for a short distance before going different ways. Captured a screen shot of my dash cam just to appease a certain someone who insists on pics

Also there’s nothing wrong with the tail lights, it’s just the way the leds flicker on the camera

Another boring HCR on Mt Cotton Rd at 3 PM this afternoon.

Anticlimactic as I expected.

This afternoon, on our way to our son's marriage in the Downtown Provo Temple: on Center Street, eastbound. Ceramic Silver. I popped the sunroof back open and my wife shot three through the sunroof backwards (only this one took); and one through the hatch window, very blurry, but better than nothing. We would have shot more, but he pulled in and parked. He seemed oblivious of another Stinger directly in front of him. This is sighting in the wild number fifteen, in eighteen months (exactly one month to the day after I saw the Ceramic Silver in Atlanta).

At the Whittier Quad near the pop-up Halloween store just before sunset. This would be my 35th sighting, but maybe it's the same one I saw Wednesday a little more than three miles away.

Ok, get ready for this.

As I was approaching a roundabout today in my HCR I’ve seen a Police Stinger, also red, about to enter the roundabout at the next entry point. I’ve cravenly, um, prudently slowed down, let him enter first then followed him around. I’ve exited at the first exit while he’s continued around to the second. But as I’m exiting, a third red Stinger has entered and taken my place behind the cop car. So for a split second we had 3 red Stingers all within spitting distance of each other. Incredible. I doubt whether you would ever get 3 Stingers that close to each other in general traffic let alone 3 of the same colour.

I suspect all future Stinger sightings will be a tad anticlimactic after today.

I'm on vacation in Europe right now, but I saw one in Amsterdam pulling out of a shop. A white GT. Didn't snap a pic but I pointed it out to my friend who looked me and said, "what, an Optima? What's the big deal?"

Owned mine for two months without a single sighting. One day I go to car wash and just as I am leaving a gorgeous blue stinger simultaneously pulls out of the stall next to me. No exaggeration. Other guy was exiting exact moment I was at the same speed. It was as if there were a long mirror just outside the door and I was looking at my car as it magically changed from pearl white to blue.
What are the odds.
