While the comments on the jb4 sound nice can anyone explain all the issues that are surrounding it within this forum? There are so many different threads that I said f*ck it and moved on.
Outside of special cases, the jb4 summary goes like this:
-you need to regap stock plugs at minimum. Or, install better (cooler) plugs with a lower gap
-you need enough octane for the map you want to run. Log, log, log. Terry will quickly give you a log appraisal to let you know if you're pushing things too far.
-Special cases: more than E30, WMI, IAT spoofing, boost-per-gear reduction, etc - keep reading. If you don't know what those things are, read a LOT more first to understand them, THEN read to see how the jb4 does it.

Key thing is for any tune on the Stinger you need to replace or at least regap the factory spark plugs. Takes 1-2hrs first time. Beyond that you're good to go. Install JB4 and in 15 min enjoy tons extra power.
No issues with figuring out how to set up and use my JB4.
Of course do the research to figure out the steps to keep you and your vehicle safe/from exploding. But not many issues I've read about. Lots of threads for a reason, because it's good and people want to make sure they are doing it right.
Only thing I've read is about overboost, but that's when people push it too much.
....and if you notice, Racechip has its own support section and it's own issues. I think there are far more JB4 owners than Racechip, hence more JB4 feedback. Also, if you notice, issues usually stem from folks really pushing the platform. I stay on map 2-3 for the time being, zero issues.
The JB4 is the most widely used Stinger tuning system by a factor of 10. The vast majority install, use per our guidelines, and enjoy. When issues do rarely pop up we're always here to help customers get them sorted as our support thread will attest to.
Well I went through most of the threads and you all make a compelling argument. I would hope the instructions tells you about the spark plugs cause that seems like an important step.

Some of the ecu tunes don't need it as much since they can turn up the spark dwell time. But even with ecu tune the default .028 of densos and hks is safer than stock which can vary.
