So i got home from work today to find a package on the kitchen table. Anticipation.....builDINGGGG! Opened it to find that beautiful red box with the lettering JB4
Of course the wife was over my shoulder...."What is that??? Another thingy for your car?? What's that you say? To make it go FASTERRRR?? ARE YOU NUTS?!?!?!?" LOL.
I know this has been discussed and I've read pretty much everything on it but I just want some up to date opinions. Should I regap my OEM plugs or gap and install the new 5346 Densos I purchased? I've read tons of conflicting opinions. Some say the OEM plugs will fail quickly and some say the colder Densos will fail. Now that people have had their JB4s for sometime, I'm curious how the different set ups are handling the extra power. My only other mods are Borla exhaust and Injen short ram intakes.
I plan on running map 2 daily on high quality 93 octane with an occasional jump to map 3 with ethanol added. I don't foresee anything past that. Also i'm not super heavy footed as I've only really mashed it 6-7 times since i got her 5 months ago and have never "raced". Why the JB4 then you may ask? I guess I just want to know the power is there if I ever need to defend her honor against all the SRT whatevers, WRX hooligans and douchy Bimmer drivers who think this lowly Kia doesn't stand a chance. No offense if your a hooligan or a douche lol Thanks everyone!
