Thank-you for posting that! I’ve ordered this colour with a red interior, but to be honest, I wasn’t thrilled with the colour options they gave us in Canada.
Here is my conundrum, and no offense to other people who selected this colour, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?
My brother says, and I agree with him, that this colour makes the car look premium. I love the depth of the colour (metal flakes or whatever when you look closely at the paint) and I think 5 years from now the colour will still look great, particularly for a person like me who doesn’t go through the cost/effort of getting into waxing and so on. Sad, I know. Overall, I think this colour looks great close up.
But from afar, I find this colour minimizes the sporty look of the car. The chrome helps, but it just doesn’t look the same as the lighter colours. Comparing it to my second choice, the “wet cement” colour, I find the lighter colour really makes the sporty features stand out, which I LOVE. Now the downside of the wet cement colour. It’s just so flat. Up close I don’t find it looks that great, and I’m concerned that five years down the road it’s going to look super flat because, as I said, I don’t tend to do much to maintain the paint.
So I went with my head rather than with my heart but I’m having second thoughts…
My dealership has the wet cement version sitting on their lot so I could change my mind any day I want, and also get the car right away rather than in April which is exacerbating my anguish x100 haha.
