What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Dropped off the stinger for a paint correction and getting it ceramic coated! Already missing it...

I replaced the wipers blades and removed the old tint. It wasn’t dark enough for me. Getting new darker tint installed on Friday.

Put some strips of clear hockey tape just under the rear lip of the hood where the wiper blades would contact if lifted without putting them in the parked position. Also a piece on each wiper.

I don't plan on having my car serviced or worked on by anyone but myself, but I've been thinking of doing this for some time, and stumbled on a roll of the tape yesterday, so just went ahead and did it.

Got prepared for cold ohio winters and bought some slightly used winter tires to put on the factory 18 inch rims
Michelin X-ice Xi3 225/45r18 for $500
Tires still have 10/32 tread depth

Just got back from Wheel Werks where I replaced my front tires. I corner harder than I did last year. So I don't expect 22K miles out of these like the last pair. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are expensive. And if I use them as intended, they won't last nearly as long as far less expensive A/S tires do. If I ever have to, I can drop down to running A/S rear-round and forget this "spirited" cornering thing (at least at the Michelin level). But for now, "have fun wearing them out on the twisty bits" will be my mantra! :D

This morning I had a tire pressure warning on the rear tire so I checked it...

That tire has less than 2000 miles...

What caused the flat?

If it's a puncture in the central tread area, it should be repairable at relatively low cost.

And, according to my local high performance tire dealer, last time I had a nail in my Pilot Super Sport tires on the Mustang, they claim no compromise on cornering or top speed with the tire patched, so you can still go fast ;)

I tested their theory and had no issue.

Took a gamble and ordered directly from China through Aliexpress.com. Surprisingly, both are quality parts and the price was right ($35 total). Read the post card for a little laugh lol.

Looks like a good fit, glad it met your expectations.

Myself, I don't want to cover up the nicely stitched jacket and polished metal finish on the original that came with the car - I think it's a beautiful little piece of art in its own right. As I said to my brother when he proposed putting seat covers in his new car - who are you keeping them 'nice' for, the next owner? :p

Its a great fit other than the logo cutout is a circle (for the E logo) rather than oval (Kia logo). I agree the standard key is very nice but this is just to keep it scratch free and satisfy the boy racer in me.

Installed the Add W1 oil catch can and all season mats. Tomorrow there will be more parts arriving and Friday will be tint.

After a 4-5 week wait finally had the Blackvue Dr900 dash cam installed. All looks well with the install. I tried quoting tips from the valuable forum pages here. But the seasoned pro cut me off with a "Mate I've installed on Porshes and BMW's" . Still I ploughed on reading said verses from with in. This was then greeted with nods.

Shame I didn't have it a week earlier, when two vehicles up a Ute (pick-up) was carrying an old fashioned solid timber white rowing boat, it looked like something of the Titanic. It was upside down , rear part to the end of the tray and the front resting diagonally on the cabins roof. I did see went it passed me on the inside it was tied with one strap across the middle. Anyway short story long as he accelerated away into my lane the boat flew off doing one perfect 360 and landing between middle and inside lane. The guy in front swerved and missed it. I had plenty time to to detour, amazingly the vehicle just kept driving, I caught up to him got his rego and phoned it through to the Police hotline. The boat was still undamaged from what I saw.

Excellent choice. I had a 650GW-2CH and upgraded to the 900S-2CH when I got my Stinger. Have you hardwired it?

Is the rear cam connector the same on the 900 as 650?

I’m too lazy to rewire the new rear and will use the old one if it connects. That way I just need to swap the front cam.

Unfortunately, no. The connector is a slightly different size so I had to swap out the old cable for the new one.

Yes hardwired.

Installed the 284RC & 284 VC spoilers from Spoiler King. Had them wrapped 3m gloss black as well.
