Hahaha, not wanting to start a diplomatic incedent here I was just stating he pretty much nailed the comment & being Canadian (technically our cousins) he was pretty close on this statement...but in the end the Aussie will win out unless they are being DH’s

Got windows tinted and added some custom badges and wheel caps. Had some bad luck though. You'll notice the front badge is off center by a smidge. Because it was so cold out and using heat to pull kia badge, and the material of the bumper (so the guy speculated), some paint peeled back from not underneath where the Kia badge was to start. Have to bring the car back to have the bottom part of front of car repainted to cover up the dime size peel back. Guy is going to pay for the repair even though I dont really think it was his fault. So just a warning for those pulling badges off, maybe don't have too much extreme from cold to heat on the paint job.

I would have not noticed it was centered had you not mentioned it.
I will say though, if you are peeling paint replacing the badges you are NOT doing it right. I've done a few, the first couple I didn't even use heat. The trick is to use floss or fishing line to literally cut through the tape holding it on. It takes literally almost 0 pressure to pull it off if you do it this way. Once you have it off, just use a some goo gone or something to get the residue off. At the most maybe a SOFT plastic scraper to help get the residue off.

Yeah I'm not happy about it, but gave it to someone who has supposedly done tons of these with very good ratings online. I'm worthless with anything that involves manual labor so farmed it out. I'll recommend no heat on the next stinger LOL

Well, finally finished the last badge change out on the rear, best time to do it today 40c in Sydney, left rear end in the sun for approx. 2 hrs, used fishing line & both badges easily removed. Do not use heat gun on rear the material is not steel & others are having paint peel problems.
Note: Use painters tape around the holes before silicone, it comes away clean & also on the stencil to centre, level & fit.

Yes, I used fishing line, without heat only a hot day. No need for scrapers to get adhesive residue off or chemicals, gently rubbed/rolled off with a finger then wipe with damp cloth & dry with micro fibre cloth. Remember the car has fresh paint & also the advantage of fresh badges makes removal a lot easier.
