I had a Loden overlay on the front, applied under ideal conditions and properly prepped prior to installation and the bottom edge started coming up after only a month.

imho full emblems look better. tho i've seen the skins look great.

There's OEM emblems made for Stingers that aren't shipped to the U.S. with them.

Clearly I meant of OEM quality or better. I've also read that replacement emblems are not curved and do not sit properly on the panel they're installed on. Does anyone have high resolution closeup pictures of their installs?

There are plenty of of replacement emblems and overlays that look as good as what comes from the factory. Many would say, even better.

I've posted close-up pics pf the KDM one I have on the front. Fits perfectly.

The new version of the LODEN emblems have a slight curve to them:

However, every emblem you DO see on a Stinger, outside of the brand new LODEN emblems, has a flat back - and they manage to adhere well. If you do happen to see any area that's not sitting flush with the body, you could use a tiny bit of clear silicone to fill any crevice.

As far as the metal skins go, they're beginning to sell more than replacement emblems. They do look very good. As long as they're installed on a clean surface and held in place for 30-60 seconds, there's really no reason they should lift. Cleaning thoroughly with alcohol is important as if there's any wax on the emblem, it can cause problems down the road. Of course, sometimes there's odd things happen with little explanation. Or perhaps if a metal skin lifted even after a perfect installation, some idiot tried picking it off. Who knows? But, generally, metal skins stick well - and stay stuck until you pull them off...

I've been looking for the Oval "E" metal skins. Anyone know where I can get that? Thinking about changing my current LODEN Vintage K badges to the E badge but don't want to use the round one due to PPF cutout.

I'm trying to avoid removal/replacing the Front KIA emblem so I'm really looking for an overlay as opposed to a replacement piece. Again, my concerns are the cutout on my PPF plus fitment since all of these replacement emblems aren't curved and leave gaps on the ends. Any chance you can produce what I'm looking for Sal?

Well, a proper E overlay could be produced, but it would be very expensive. The minimum order is 1000 pieces, plus design and molding costs... And then 5 months waiting...

I removed the OEM Kia emblem, and replaced it with the OEM Kia Motors badge from So. Korea. I also have PPF on the front (installed by the dealer pre-sale) and honestly I think it looks good. No gaps or peeling/pulling up issues. I have had it on there for almost a year now. In the pic you can clearly see the PPF, but the oval shape cut out of the PPF is not noticible at all from even a short distance.

That's the emblem I've been rocking since February of 2018. Over 18 months, and like you no issues to report!

I'm not 100% positive. I recall researching it before buying it and I saw that in the late 90s there was a mini-van being sold by Kia with the badge. I think it was in Yugoslavia or one of their neighboring countries.

It's all fuzzy now.

I'd take the emblem. The overlay/cover has to be made with good precision in order to match the original, keep in mind that not all emblems are created equal, there will always be differences even though they are the same.
