Received an email from kia Australia yesterday with there first news letter about the Kia. I registered my interest months ago and paid a deposit about 3 months ago was told 1 st for Tasmania and 3rd for Australia. Was at our kia dealer on Friday and they stated the head Of KIA Australia was there last week and stated the Aussie production starts in July with cars arriving in Australia in mid to late August. GT around the 50k range. I have order the dark purpleyblue colour but not sure about the interior colour yet.

When it comes to performance, the All-New Stinger is something very special.
The Kia Stinger's dynamics were developed by Albert Biermann, Head of High Performance Development at Kia Motors. As the former Vice President of BMW's M Division, Mr. Biermann was responsible for tuning some of BMW's most iconic cars. Today, Biermann has spearheaded the Stinger's chassis and performance development at various proving grounds, including Germany's Nurburgring and Sweden's Arjeplog. Watch the Stinger perform at sub-zero temperatures in the Swedish Laplands, above.
Locally, we've tuned for our harsh roads and conditions utilising the skills of Graeme Gambold to suit local driving habits. The Stinger also represents Kia's first delivery of a rear wheel drive vehicle for the Australian market and we are sure that it is one that will surprise.
Two engines have been engineered to provide maximum enjoyment. Choose between a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine generating 182kW of power, or the 3.3 litre twin-turbocharged V6. This impressive 3.3 litre engine will produce 272kW of power, making the sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds.
An in house eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters is mated to both the 2.0 litre and 3.3 litre engines. To complement this, choose from five electronically controlled drive modes (Custom, Eco, Comfort, Sport and Smart) that take Stinger from mild to wild, controlling steering torque delivery, transmission shift points and, for the GT/GT-Line variants, the calibration of the electronically controlled suspension.
