Stinger vs public opinion

Everyone is right, not a wrong opinion here. I agree that I did not like the "KIA" badge when I bought the car. Before we signed papers my wife pointed to the KIA badge and said "That has got to go". KIA is just a "Throw away car...." She was looking up new badges on the drive home. I get a lot of enjoyment when one of the guys at work is standing there loving the looks of the car and then asks me what king of car is this? When I tell them that is a KIA they generally get even more interested and start asking specifics.

Owned now for 2 months ......today I got 3 more of those " hey what is that" comments/looks....I'm trying not to be that guy but hard to be humble when accolades flow so heavily.....

This your special "burden": represent the rest of us well! ;)

So in a nutshell, pretty much none of us really care what other people think, of what we are driving. Then why do we all change the KIA badge? (myself included)
Not everyone changes the Kia badging. I not embarrassed of my car and wear my Kia emblems loud and proud. I love showing people how far Kia has come. The looks and questions I get when they realize it’s not a Maserati is priceless.

Went to visit a couple who are friends of hubby's, they came to check out the car, the wife said " Omg, I like your car, is it a Lexus ? " "no a Kia " we replied. Now she wants one.
Today, at the local shops, I park the car isolated and back in when I park. A car went passed ( white Holden Camry ) and the driver looked at the car as he passed but he had gone out of his way to drive passed to begin with.We ended up following him into Macca's drive through as my son wanted a drink. There were 3 young guys in the car, he was a P plater and they wouldn't stop gorking at the car. My son asked " Have you got your lights too bright or something because they keep looking at the car ?" They were probably trying to figure out what she is as I have the K badge on the front.

This is not a place for political discussion.

In regards to badging, I am thinking of swapping out my Kia badges on the front and back of my car. I would still have Kia badging on my rims.

I publicly apologize and abase myself. It was reactionary. I promise to do better (it will help if nobody else loses their composure FIRST!:p).

I walked out to my car coming out of Walmart. I pushed the key fob and nothing happened. I stepped back and was standing next to a white Panamera. So yes, I was at Wallmart and mistook my car (white GT2) for a Porsche.

I have seen two Carrera S in the last week. Black one last week, white one yesterday. The Black deployed his spoiler before I quite came up alongside. I took his meaning and did not pass. "None shall pass!" I believe.

Thanks

I reacted too because I was politely asking the forum member what the " p " word had to do with our discussion which led to my post being deleted.
I obviously lost my composure, it doesn't pay to be too curious.:cautious:

Lets extend the badge discussion, it is fruitful. I don't wan't to hide the fact that the car is a Kia, I A; Just don't like the look of the Kia badge and B; Yes, I want to make people look a little closer to figure out what, exactly, the car is. Keeping the Kia wheel centers would do that. I would also keep the Kia steering wheel badge.

Actually, what would be great is a carbon fiber pure black badge to replace the Kia badge on the hatch and maybe the front hood badge. I have not found such, and am leaning towards some overlays for the time being.

To be honest, these cars are a touch "over-badged" already, maybe a cleaner look might be better?
