What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

What did I do today, well actually this was Saturday but my 5-month-old Stinger got rear-ended :( So far just base estimate to fix without taking it apart is $2700.

Hit me hard enough to push me into the car in front of me but not enough front damage for front replacement just repair and repaint. Rear bumper and lower will be replaced and repainted.
Crap, CRAP, CRAP!!!

The push bar on that truck has the right "logo".

Doesn’t look to bad. But you’re OK right.

Is it sticking on ok, not easy to rip off by a thief?
If a thief wants anything from your car , they'll take , including the whole car ! This is a cheap and cheerful badge idea thats just as safe as any "taped on badged " I've had BMW badges pried off with screw drivers ..................make it easy if they want them , less damage............

Sticks ok but would be easy to take off, without causing damage.

This morning I just dropped off my car to be ceramic coated. They may be able to finish it by today weather permitting, I'm excited to see it. It's Silky Silver so I'm not thinking it will be as drastic if it was on a dark color, but we'll see what kind of difference it makes.

I have been thinking on getting a more "colourful" red on my red one.. Like special red, but i have not managed to find a "price range" to make a pretty pretty cool cool paint job in sweden. :/

I remember seeing this "sports car" or 20 cm height and enging in the butt kind of car... It was purple-ish in atleast 200 ranges of purple, shiny, sparkling as a "kid". I want something like that, but in the red-range.. But sweden seems to lack painters to make customs cool stuff.

After a nice foam wash and detailing my stinger with Maguire's cmx Ceramic spray, I noticed an annoyingly sized/layed out paint scuff on my passenger front fender . I was thinking of using my DA polisher with some compound, followed by a polish.
Any suggestions as to removing this? It's not etched in the paint.

If it is just paint transfer, you may be able to remove it with a clay bar and a bit of lubricant, or even a solvent-based automotive cleaner on a bit of rag. Then just touch up any wax/sealant you had on the car and you're done!

Hmm, thanks for the tip! Now, I dont have a clay bar on hand, same with a solvent based cleaner (maybe)? What I do have on hand that I think may work is some compound, swirl remover, polish and scratch x 2.0.

Clay is designed to remove only surface contaminants and not damage the paint - just light hand application of your finest grit product? Maybe just a bit of polish on a rag?

Prepsol was the solvent-based product I had in mind.

Gotchas, thank you

Just got home from picking up my stinger from getting the ceramic coat. Like is thought the effect wasn’t eye popping as the silver hides dirt pretty well anyway. But it does have the shine I was expecting to see. Really gives it the “Silky” look the color code states lol. I’m sure the lighting as it’s almost sunset makes a difference. Also added my vintage K front badge, I just need to add my rear Stinger script and I am moving the GT over to the left to balance it out. Hopefully I’ll get to that tomorrow.

What about hopping onto the ferry to Germany, don't they have a good customizing set up their?
