To keep the front and rear tire sizes at the same circumference when you're running staggered. 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 are very close to the same amount of tire sidewall. Same with 255/35 and 295/30, or 235/35 and 275/30.

This is what I have fitted to my new wheels
Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 275/30/19
This almost maintains the same rolling diameter & speedo accuracy.
I have also not noticed any difference in the ride quality compared to OE Continental Tyres.

So how does this work on some of the other higher end cars that sport 19s in the front and 20s in the rear? Just educating myself.

They tend to either run a lower profile tyre at the rear, or accept that rolling diameters vary from front to back.

However, I believe the comment was more about maintaining the same rolling diameters front and rear as the stock tyres, not necessarily front to back.

Remember that the tyre profile is the height of the sidewalls expressed as a percentage of the tyre width, not an absolute height.

Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 275/30/19

So, in this case, the front tyres have a sidewall height of 85.75mm (245x0.35) and the rears are 82.5mm tall (so about 3mm variation). If @Stinger GT SS had stayed with a 35 profile rear, the rear sidewalls would be 96.25mm tall (or over 1cm different).

Sorry, I have no idea why either.

Yes this is what the tyre centre that did my setup said, it maintains almost same rolling diameter with very little variation in the speedo.

Just got my new rims and tyres today, Koya SF10 20inch rims in Satin Black. With Pirelli Dragon Sport Tyres.
20*8.5 with 245/35/20 on Front
20*10 with 275/30/20 on Rear.
No scuffing or rubbing and the offset is perfect as they do a custom fit. I think I might look at a 285 for the rear on the next set of tyres as they look a bit stretched on the 10 inch rear.

For those on 20s, how is the ride with Eibachs. I’ve had super low profile tires before and wondering how the Stinger handles them.

Actually surprised that it isn't that harsh, in comfort mode with MRC it feels just right for me, in the sport mode it is definitely on the harsher side. I use the custom option with full performance but the most comfortable shock setting and it is perfect. If I need the performance i flick it over to sport mode. The eibach springs alone didn't make that much difference maybe 10-20% stiffer but the 20's make it more noticeable in the stiffer setting.

What are the exact offsets?

Ok so front 8.5 inch are +32 offset and rear 10 inch are +45. Koya preferred using the 10 inch on the back as the 9.5 inch have a more limited offset range. Hope that helps
