What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

To be honest, I don't know much about lease buyouts or leasing in general. I've never considered leasing a car before because I prefer to own. Aren't there mileage restrictions for leased cars? Maybe I would consider it in the future if I could just make 1 complete payoff payment lets say at the end of the first month. My understanding was that there was a minimum time frame or an early payoff penalty? Maybe I'm mistaken? As far as a zero interest loan, I'm not sure that there is much incentive for me to do that because they gave me $4000 in rebates and $5000 off the MSRP?

Just curious is all. There is almost $10k in Lease cash for the car you got and you can still get $4k-$6k off MSRP on top of that. Money has a “use” value so getting a no interest loan for 66 months as opposed to handing them the cash upfront has some advantages.

It isn’t that you got a bad deal. I was just curious if you had considered the other options.

Purchase a "NEW" Ceramic Silver 2018 GT1 AWD with the advance driver assistance system package. MSRP of $48,620.00. This car was the sales managers demo car with 600 miles.

I was offered two deals.

1. 35,000.00 with Kia 3.7% financing
2. 37,500.00 with Kia 0.00% financing

I did the 37,500.00 deal.

It also came with this stuff:

Cargo Tray
Cargo Mat
Cargo Net

White/Red GT2 AWD, $42,650 out the door.

Wow new? That’s just 2k over what I paid for mine used, GT2 AWD as well. If it’s was new, great deal!

Yeap, new. I just hope I don't regret waiting for the 2020s.

$10,400 lease incentive, and $4500 off MSRP.
Does this include tax? When you buy out a lease you get hit with additional state sales tax on the purchase price. In this way, the OTD they give could be lower than what you actually end up paying.

OTD it was $42,650, before taxes and fees it was less than $40k.

Brown's Kia Manassas.

Just looked them up, they got some nice dealer discounts. Man I would of made a flight there to make a purchase, although sales tax is half of what it is here in Texas so would of had to pay that once here. But nonetheless that was a good deal!

I went there over the weekend and was not offered anywhere near as good a deal as you got. In fact, they offered a higher price for an AWD GT1. Nice work getting the deal you got!

New vehicle pricing aside, their trade-in offer for my current Stinger was abysmal. With their best trade-in offer, my 14 month old Premium w/ 12k miles has depreciated 35% (calculated as price I paid minus the trade in offer divided by price I paid.)

Same. Over email and phone they gave me a price of $48.6 for a lease buyout with the incentives OTD. Told them it was too high and they never responded back. Seems typical for Kia dealers to not follow up on inquiries on this car.

I think your best bet is to sell the car to a place like Carvana or Vroom. The KBB trade-in value is quite high for these cars right now and the online sites will usually meet or exceed KBB trade-in value.
