Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

So is there a benefit to those of us with WMI, or is it 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other?

It doesn't apply to those running WMI, unless you're also running E85, and have a need to know your precise ethanol mixture.

When running E85 exclusively then the sensor feeding mixture data in to the JB4 becomes much more useful so boost target is preset based on your actual E85 mixture.

Just turned 500 miles.. Waiting for 1000 + initial oil change before I do any mods.. Plus, hopefully someone will do a DIY kit to easily bring the switch into the interior, and/or hook it up to the jb4.

Anyone here tried our burn out switch DIY yet??

Feedback from a few of our AWD customers has been that it's nuts lol.

Kato did and he easily spins all 4 tires.
@kato_the_kia_stinger on Instagram: “WAIT FOR IT. Can’t believe I’m spinning in AWD! Yay @kato_the_kia_stinger #awd #stock #nolaunchcontrol #launchcontrol #breakboost #boost…”
That’s some serious POWER! Nice job Terry:thumbup:

Patiently waiting on the JB4 integration
Patiently waiting to see if there's a solution that doesn't require cutting wires personally

Should be able to run low-mid 12s. Terry RWD GT ran 12.4s with just the JB4 and he had limited traction without the LSD (Limited Slip Differential). Are you RWD or AWD, and do you have LSD (Limited Slip Differential) if RWD? Also suggest putting your info in your signature so everyone can see what you are running.

Updated my signature (thanks for the suggestion). I got my plugs in this past weekend and took it for a spin in map2. Its shocking how much more the car rocks backward on launch. How well do the stock GT1&2 suspensions handle the extra power?

While you can feel the power, the back end squatting was one of the first things I noticed when tuned. It actually made me laugh out loud.

Nice Slow motion video. It actually allows you to see how much the car squats when launching. Im not sure if Kato has done any suspension mods (I don't think he has judgin from the video) but that needs to be on his list soon, if he wants to maintain better traction with this mod.

Question was your 0-60 or 60' time foot improved with the break boost mod ?
Should be testing at the track tonight, Weather pending. It definitely feels like it will improve.

It's going to be all about traction/tires now! :)

Which is what we have been waiting for, for a long time! I am not happy seeing you having the extra time replying here, integrating into JB4 is number one priority, get on it!

Haha I'll work on it but honestly the basic cut off switch works so well... I wonder if there will be enough of a benefit with JB4 integration to justify it. The boost by gear settings on the JB4 will be more useful now though for AWD cars to limit boost during brake boosting when traction is subpar! :)
