It may run ok but unlikely your getting full map3 boost without the ecu pulling the timing since 93 isn’t enough octane. Someone did a thorough test comparing logs showing ignition timing was always pulled and didn’t run flat or progressive timing until 96+ octane was used. Post some logs of WOT runs with map3 & 93 to see what ign 1-6 are doing to be sure.Ok- i was daring and tried map3 yesterday with only Oct 93 from Costco. No adverse effects or pinging and car runs like a charm. I heard boostane is not great to run everyday as it can be corrosive.
Awesome and is this similar to disabling the brake switch like Tonka & others did?Made an interesting Stinger discovery today. Cutting the brake signal wire to the ECU lets you power brake the car and do awesome burn outs.
So far no negative effects noted other than start/stop not working! Exploring the option to have the JB4 intermittently cut the signal off the signal once we have a better feeling for the effects and whether it allows the AWD cars to launch harder.![]()
If anyone is interested in helping test it out email me! Requires cutting 1 ECU wire which you can splice back together later, so definitely for the more advanced crowd who understands what is involved.![]()

BMS JB4 Stinger water/meth (WMI) sneak peak
Looks like they just temporarily disable it using a magnet so you don’t completely lose Start/Stop & Reverse. Still a temporary solution and would be awesome if it could be integrated into the JB4 with settings to enable it as needed.
