I wonder ... is that in a setup menu or so? I need that to be off by default.

Yeah but does it stick? In my BMW, I have to hit it every time I drive which gets on my nerves ... but you CAN disable it by default, but only a car dealer can program that.

No you have to do it every time.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Ya I figured it out- get the concept but it is annoying
There are companies out there that make a module that disables it permanently. It is usually done for fleet type or delivery vehicles though. Maybe since the coppers down there are going to use the stinger someone will develop the module for the stinger. I doubt the cops want it shutting off like that.

Geography check

I think the Start Stop feature is good for normal driving everyday because of these new Gdi engines. These engines are known for build up on the valves. Because now the fuel doesn't wash over them. These engines I think get most of the buildup during idling and so if the cars off then less buildup. If you read the manual it actually says do not let the engine idle for long periods of time. So I leave mine on unless I'm doing some spirited driving, then I disable it . Any thoughts on that guys. Am I right at all or no. Still learning a lot about these engines.

At BMW, I didn't need any strange module ... it was simply a setting the garage could set off by default and just inverse the behaviour. Will have to check with KIA dealers if this works here as well (maybe even ask several, cause IMHO, with such issues, many garages have no clue about what they're saying :P).
