Funds are waiting.Sounds like the jb4 needs another dongle for this. Just saying.

So with the all wheel drive fuse in and the brake disconnected, you can hit 3300rpm on the foot brake and its is one helluva launch, definitely need more than stock tires.. never got a chance to launch it on the track and get a time but it's a SIGNIFICANT difference.. I'd love someone to grab a 0-60 time with this
easy peezy lemon squeezy.. Good part is, brake lights still work, but if you need to shift (to reverse/ from neutral to drive/ or out of park), you'll have to hold the plugs together while doing so.. It also feels as though the torque controllers are non-existent with the connector out.. On full throttle in 1st and second gear, the car wants to wiggle its rear end and definitely feels untamed.. so try this at your own risk!If I'm understanding correctly:
AWD fuse stays in
Unplug connector behind brake pedal
Brake Boost
Launch
You mean shift into 2nd or shift into park?easy peezy lemon squeezy.. Good part is, brake lights still work, but if you need to shift, you'll have to hold the plugs together while doing so.. shift into reverse, or from park to drive. you can shift from drive to neutral or drive to park with it unplugged. You mean shift into 2nd or shift into park?
nope, for that you have to lean down and hold the connectors together for a second to shift from park to drive.. As someone stated before, the best way to do this is put your car in drive with the parking brake on and then undo the connection.. its a bi**h but its worth it..But not park to drive?
Ok that makes sense now. I thought I was missing something there.
Any kind of warning lights?
A part number come with that schematic? Could bridge the connection using proper plugs and put an inline switch on just the one wire, put the switch anywhere. For those of us interested in being able to quickly remove all traces of hooliganism.Ok this might help. We have the schematic for the connector at the pedal and the ECU as well. Looks like one of the wires 49 or 83 in the ECU will do the trick.
FYI im not sure its true or not but someone kia related told me that they have a black box they call it and when they hook it up they know if any of the plugs have been disconnected if u were ever to go in for any warranty claims so be careful.

That's not possible... I can unplug anything I want on my car, whether it's on purpose or accidental. The dealer cannot void any warranty but they can deny a claim if they can prove the owner caused the damageIf that's true about half the 7k members of this site are going to have some serious 'splainin' to do...![]()
What trim level AWD? My GT2 in RWD mode cuts throttle after 1 second of tire roasting even with traction and stability off.
You have to unplug the brake pedal to do thatWhat trim level AWD? My GT2 in RWD mode cuts throttle after 1 second of tire roasting even with traction and stability off.
I can light up the rears like that without using the brake but throttle cuts after a second or so. Like traction control is still on. GTs can spin but not sure the drive by wire gt2s can. Or maybe it is an AWD thing (fuse pulled)You have to unplug the brake pedal to do that
