3.3TT Kia Stinger Aftermarket Exhaust Information and Discussion

Just installed my Kunstwerk secondary cat delete to my Kunstwerk evc racing cat back and it is awsome. Sounds even better than the posted clip. Very good quality, perfect fitment, and great customer service. I do not think anyone would be disappointed.

Care to share a clip so we can all hear?

Of course if you want a louder exhaust but do not want to hear it like OEM than stay with oem.

This is the original post, isn't it? You said that your car sounds better than this...

FYI the emojis were because your other statement made no sense.

What do you mean it made no sense. Many on this site wanted louder exhaust, then when they get what they thought they wanted they complain they can hear it it's too loud.

And yes , exhaust sounds better in person than in video clip and believe that's the case for most.

You have a vid of the sound

It makes no sense because anyone wanting quiet exhaust wouldn't be looking at an aftermarket solution for a nonexistent problem. Your syntax was also atrocious, adding to the convulsion.

I have a better video coming. I had to get an upgraded mic first. Also wanted to add some drive byes on different modes. Interior sound video as well

I just tried a phone video. Horrible quality just can not do the exhaust justice.

Real close to buying the Magnaflow catback system. I've watched the video's on youtube but would like to hear from those of you who have the Magnaflow system installed. I'm not looking for a real harsh sounding system. Just something that is deeper than stock. Are you pleased with the sound? I've seen a few Borla systems for sale because the owners stated that there was too much drone and some who say that it too loud. Would really like to hear what you think of the Magnaflow system coverall. Thanks

Unless someone says different, after researching this myself for more than 6 months. Here are the things I learned.
- All aftermarket exhaust is going to "drone" or as I call it exhaust sound.
-Video clips do not do the exhaust sound justice
-If you do not want to hear any exhaust in the cabin, stay with OEM

I own a G70 and just bought the Kunstwerk Racing evc.

Valve closed 87db. you can hardly hear it adding a low rumble, but under heavier acceleration you will hear it a little. At highway speed it does have a very slight drone at times.
Valve open 95db sounds great not that loud but very nice sound. In my opinion not that loud on the milder side (in fact not sound enough for me so purchased the secondary cat delete downpipe/midpipe). Yes highway drone.
Also a 3rd middle of the road AUTO setting all remote controlled.
-with secondary cat delete. Closed 90db very similar to without
-valve open 114db very aggressive sound in my opinion exotic sound. Love it and when I dont I close the valve.

I think just the catback racing evc would fit your needs perfect. Or maybe try just try the downpipe. Contact Kunstwerk it probably would add rumble since it added to the cat back
The reason I jumped in to you asking about magnaflow is the fact that Kunstwerk is a great Fit, Quality, and very good customer service.

Oh I wanted to add it is pricey bit in my opinion the quality and final product is worth it. It gives you options and dont forget it is remote control.
They also offer a non evc sport that may meet your needs

Dont Get mad it's not a stinger. Look

My local shop Gexhaust just built me a custom Vibrant Axel-back exhaust for ~$500 installed and I love it!

It’s the perfect compromise of acceptable drone, but still has a deep rumble at idle, mild Maserati type scream from 4-6k, and a nice gurgle while slowing from 3-2k.:D

I’ll get some videos soon but have to say the car finally sounds like it has some power.

Are you ok with having exhaust gases bounce off the inside of rear bumper? IMO it would look cleaner if they could have fitted dual outlets and aligned with stock end tips.

It looks aligned with the inside outlet to me. I think that is just the angle of the photo. I can't imagine that they would not align it correctly.

Perhaps, but it's only a single outlet?

The inlet of our mufflers is single in...so what's the difference?

Well GDamn let's hear it
Here is a quick cold start, but my phone recording just doesn’t do it any justice.:thumbdown:I’ll try to get a few better ones later and will try from different distances to see if it sounds any better.

Actually the resonators are perfectly aligned and sit just inside the stock end tips. They gave me an option to add a spitter and connect the quad outlets, but there’s no performance or sound benefit so it was a waste of money IMO.
