Hello StingerFroum!

Nick here from Mishimoto! About 3 weeks ago we welcomed this gorgeous micro blue Stinger GT into it's new home here at the Mishimoto R&D facility

Our Engineers were eager to get started on the various projects we have in store for this platform, specifically, in this case, for a catch can kit to ward off carbon buildup on the intake valves.

There is plenty more to come over the coming months, so make sure you stay tuned for more on the catch can and the other products that we have planned!

Feel free to reach out with any comments, questions, or concerns!

Don't you already have a catch can kit?

Are any Kia Stinger owner's confirming a problem with carbon build-up on the intake valves ?

We do offer universal products, but we don't have a direct fit kit for this platform just yet

Carbon buildup is something that does take a little while to accumulate, but builds much faster on direct injected vehicles. The earlier that you can get a can on the car, the better, since it will help keep a vast majority of blow-by gasses from being routed directly on to your intake valves

WELCOME ABOARD ! Lets get this party started! :) Wash

I don't wanna run someone elses biz.....BUT you guys are a year late with the catch cans....and I noticed on your website that you are big into intercoolers.....so with that being said....you might wanna forget the lil non profit catch can deal, and bring to market something that others are bringing into the market right now.... like intercooling....now that would be something useful ! :)

When will you have an intercooler?

cool, always nice to get another vendor on board the platform.

Glad to be here! We're very excited to start working with you guys!

Not to worry, our catch can kit isn't getting in the way of our intercooler kit ;)

Just last week, Dan fired up the Faro ScanArm to get 3D models on the available space for our intercooler design. I actually just created an intercooler thread to track all of the process there!

CMONNNNN GOLD INTERCOOLERS WHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

It's been a while since we made a direct fit intercooler in gold, buuut if there's a popular demand for it we'll definitely look into adding that option!

When will you have an intercooler?

We're still quite a bit off, but it's coming! Make sure you head over to our intercooler thread to follow along with the development!

Where is the intercooler thread? Can you provide a link. I clicked above and it took me to some pictures. IS the thread on this forum or somewhere else?

Give it another shot ;) This is what happens when I do three things at once before finishing my coffee. Hope you at least enjoyed some photos of our CTR

Did I just look at some classified information LOL.

Intercooler and oil cooler - hope you make a set that fit together! Welcome!

Oh wow!!...can't believe I missed this thread before.

Very glad to see you guys involved with the platform. Please design some oil coolers for application and radiators as well. These Lambda II GDi engines tend to run really hot.

I've seen this noted a few times. What is the reasoning behind the claim? Is it hot compared to other engines, coolant temps above 90°C, something else?

Is it possible that the engine runs hot (compared with others) by design, and that running it significantly cooler could be detrimental in some way?

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to bump this up to tease y'all a little since we'll have an update on this kit coming very soon!

I see that Kia UK added additional transmission cooling to their one-off track car. That could be interesting - of course, one needs to be careful with cooling transmission fluid, as the fluid operates best at specific heat ranges...
