How to launch on boost

My two take aways from holding the e brake is
1: my buttometer sez the drivetrain doesn't like this
2: launching on the street with the higher boost causes more tire slippage.... as in roasting the tires
:) Wash

1. I agree but then again it is preloaded which helps lol
2. AWD cars launch way better. AWD FTW :)

There is on previous post. Here is the same pic.
Throttle isn't shown. Does it go full while braking?
I tried this a few more times and still always slips.

Throttle is 1% off of "pedal" column f. It goes full throttle while braking. So far it loads to 10-12psi on launch. I haven't tried to hold it very long. Once it gets to around 2800 i let it go. When it stops raining i will see how long it will hold (try up to a couple seconds)

That works. 96% throttle, 3200 RPM and 12.7 PSI. Great stress test!
Any wheel spin?

The first time i done it in sport and it chirped the tires (on stock 18s with sumitomo all seasons 500 wear rating) on an inclined run. That log was from a slight up hill in 1st then leveled off til i let off but i was in custom (tcase set to comfort) and no chirp. Haven't tried between the 2 enough to see if there is a difference.

I tried a few more times yesterday and it wouldn't hold, but then it did hold after I drove like 300ft up the road. Super unpredictable. I think we would have better luck bypassing the brake switch

First time i did it it didnt work. Everytime since then it has worked flawlessly.

I'm going to have to go and actually spend time on this. I'm RWD, so that may be why mine isn't holding. Everytime I play with it I can't get it to hold, always creeps. Would be nice if I could get it figured out, going to the track friday to see what she does.

I have RWD and had the same experience.

As was asked for, here's the video of my launching on brake boost against a built trans am.. this thing HOOKS it and BOOKS it on the track off the ebrake.. I took him for a car and a half despite being outmatched in power.
Finished at a 12.3 with a 60ft of 1.804 with heavy heat soak on a humid 80 degree night...

Bonus clip of me getting destroyed by a wheely-Ing z28... the disrespect looked pretty damn cool

Tried this today but it pulls through after some heavy throttle.

Wire in a brake pedal bypass switch, then you can just hold your brakes and floor the gas. The car won't know you're on the brakes so it won't cut throttle

I think this is worth a try. If it works it will solve the burnout and launch problem.

Any idea were to look first for the wire?

I think the real win will be interrupting the brake pedal wire with a simple switch.

And another switch for interrupting the "4wd" 20A fuse under the hood for drift/hoonigan mode for us AWDers, eh? ;)
