Wheel/size/offset and tire/size/profile...can be confusing.

I've updated the sheet with Compare Front and Rear links for each row that you can click on to open it in wheel-size.com, if someone has a chance to measure the stock fender clearance (from tire sidewall to inside fender) and wheel well clearance (tire tread to fender), please let me know, otherwise perhaps I'll try to do that this weekend, then we can calculate for poke!

Can RWD or AWD be added?

Should, yeah. Probably some 18" too, seems like a lot of GT trim folks swap on to 18s for winter. And some 18" folks are going to be running wider.

Added RWD/AWD and lowered/stock height columns, populated a few.

Hmm. Lowered vs. stock. Makes a difference.

This is awesome stuff! I will let you know once i get my nitto nt-5 - 245 35 fronts and 285 30 rears on my tsw sebrings 19" 8.5 30 and 9.5 40 setup - AWD lowered on Eibach springs

2 updates:

1) I added the Federation Stinger specific set up to the list (275 rear instead of 285, +40 offset in the front instead of +30)

2) Here are the wheelwell and fender clearances on stock 19's, these measurements are from the most protruding parts of the tires. This is from the sidewall (the rim protector in this case, not the edge of the tread) to the INSIDE of the fender (only about 1mm or so), and from the top of the tread (tire is pretty new, not much tread wear) to the fender.

⅜” front fender clearance = 9.52 millimeters (10mm)
1 ¾” front wheelwell clearance = 44.45 millimeters (44mm)
⅝” rear fender clearance = 15.87 millimeters (16mm)
1 ¾” rear wheelwell clearance = 44.45 millimeters (44mm)

GT AWD with Eibach Springs (going direct from Eibach here and not real measurements)
Front drop 1.4” = 35.56 millimeters (36mm) new clearance clearance = 8mm
Rear drop 1.2” = 30.48 millimeters (30mm) new clearance = 14mm

These clearances can be added to wheel-size.com.

1 more update:

Added the above clearances to the Reference tab and updated the links to wheel-size.com to pull those references for both Stock and Eibach springs. It would be great if someone who has eibach springs on stock 19's to get actual measurements of fender and wheel well clearances

That's my current setup. I'll try to get in there and sort it sometime today, most likely.

For what it's worth, I used a standard 6" woodworking square and for convenience used my phone as a level to measure from the face of the sidewall (which happened to touch the rim protector in this case) to the fender. For measuring the tread to the fender, I used a separate straight edge to extend the tread to the square. I can take pics of what I did if that didn't make sense :)

It's tricky. I have an inside/outside caliper with digital readout, but getting it wiggled in to measure isn't always doable. Some degree of eyeballing may take place.

I have seen some 20x9.5 +35 with 255/35/20 tires on stingers with eibachs.

I get my eibachs in this week and am looking at a set of wheels that are 20x9 +30. I would run the 255/35/20 tires.

This would be 1-2mm inwards from a 20x9.5 +35 right? So if they dont' have a problem then I shouldn't either with a 20x9 +30.

Will I have any issues? rubbing?

Does AWD have different fitment requirements vs RWD? I have a canadian spec GT LTD AWD.

Thanks in advance!

I'm sure 20x9+30 will be fine, no rubbing, it's about 1/4" in and out from the common 8.5+30.

255 I think is the maximum you can run up front however. Check out the spreadsheet above, you can click "compare" links on stock wheels and plug in your values on the right to see the differences.

Oh, I see you had 255/35r20 tires listed, but at 20" size you'd want to go with a 255/30 instead, which gives you clearance, and diameter is then perfect.

@Kamauxx Updated you in the sheet, pulled specs from your other posts, noticing that in your case the tires are wrong, I'll update that tooupload_2019-5-6_21-50-35.webp

If seen 35 series very common. Better ride quality.

I have seen 30 series on any square setup for whatever reason.

A 255/35 however is going to be too tall. 255/35 is stock for a 19x8.5 rear tire, but once you go up to 20" wheels, a 255/35 will probably too tall, especially in the front where you have a little less clearance. You could probably make it fit, but be aware that if you lower your car, you might be pretty close to it (unless you're going for that tucked look). 255/30r20 will be bang-on stock diameter, 255/35r20 will be an inch taller than stock.

If we go straight from the numbers, front stock wheelwell clearance is 1.75", Eibach drops 1.4" to give you 3/8" remaining, add a tire 1" taller on that and you'll be pretty tight. +30 offset will get you pretty flush, +35 offset would be even a little better.

Just as a reminder, here are the stock/eibach links, the 255/35's on eibachs are showing potential contact (red fenders):

Stock suspension:
Front: Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets
Rear: Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets

Eibach suspension:

It'll probably work pretty well, but you're on the edge of what the standard recommendations are, but you can certainly go beyond that if you're brave!
