Extremely sketchy handling when wet

I will always buy Michelin. I've ran a few other brands but never really loved them. Sort of like owning an iPhone and going to an Android, you only do it once and end up going back to the iPhone.
I'm an android guy who did the opposite lol but I still agree with your point

Just went out and read my cold tire pressures as set up from dealer front 34 rear 32...now that seems more in line ....I was thinking my ride was too stiff do to tire pressures ...nope! Wash

Michelin was pretty good to me. Very happy with the prorate amount they gave me. Super quick, didn't really require any phone calls as they have a great text messaging service.

All in all, happy with the outcome. Sure, having to replace the rear tires is an inconvenience but they stepped up to the plate and got it handled.

Great, but did you address the camber issue correctly identified by @NS_Stinger several pages ago?

I had another shop look at the alignment and it looked good. I'll be going to a third shop this weekend hopefully. The rear end still "hops" around a little on very rough pavement but the tires took care of the sketchy raining handling issues. I'd expect it to return as these wear thin too. I don't think this is resolved, just added tread/bandaid to the issue

my rear hops too, especially when hitting bumps on turns, I think all of our cars do that from the factory

It definitely happens less with a stiffer rear sway bar. There is one particular irregularity on an interchange that I like to charge that made my rear end hop. Now I hardly feel a thing going over it.

This is why I went with the all seasons. The Michelin's just dont shed water that well and new england has plenty of wet road days.

I'm also having issues with my RWD hopping ans skipping when wet. I usually hit cruise control at 67 and i've had times when my ass end kicks out a little and I'm beside a car. I ran though some of the thread to see the solution to this. Are we saying swaybars and better tires than what the factory had in them? I have a 2.0T btw

Suspension is the same in all Stingers (electronically monitored as an option). The rear sway bar has reduced the bouncing movement. Tires account for grip differences in a turn; they don't make any difference in bouncing movement.

Ok. Thank you. I never realized what butthole biting a seat was until I got this car. That's a real thing. Lol

AWD here. Eibach springs, with front and back sways also ... on soft. Drives like a dream I've had, which is good!!! Get the whole setup, and be done with it ... in driving paradise!:D

Yes, the alignment was done after the springs. The print out shows it was all in the green. I can only assume the machine is not calibrated properly. This was all done at a KIA dealership, by a master tech. I noticed the side to side hope over large cracks in the pavement, but just recently had the issue of instability at highway speeds.

Guess it's time to order up a set of back tires...already
I have the same issue....only 20k kms
