Yup, that. I don't think it was cause for concern, even on mine...but it annoyed me. To be clear, LOVE these intakes. Hard to beat that big honking red pipe and ginormous blue filters for aesthetics, IMHO. Add in the fact that they do provide a perceptible bump to the powah!!! and I'm glad I picked 'em.

When installed at Eurowise in Charlotte they showed me the kink which was worse before cutting the hose shorter. They said it is not kinked on the inside and will not affect performance at all. I may change it now that you've pointed it out it's going to annoy me too.
 
Like a picture hanging just a little off level. Makes me feel better that a shop did your install and had the same thing happen. I'm a semi-dangerous fumbler wrt wrenching on cars.
 
Are there any threads that compare the different intakes available and the pro's con's of each. My first mod's I plan are this, plugs and JB4

Yes there are.

Its all subjective.

This is my winner after all the research I did.

I have the Agency power intakes because they made out of plastic and have heat shields. They also use dry filters. Minimal heat soak.

But do you have the hood sealing issues others have reported? They were my choice until people had misaligned hoods.

I was able to fix it by re-adjusting the heat shields .....

After some driving the the heat molded everything like oem.

All good now!
