Anyone running 19x8.5's up front with 255 width tires and 19x9.5's in the rear with 285 width tires?

This is the configuration I would like to go with but I want to make sure that the tires will fit the wheels and that the package isn't too large to fit under the fenders. To my eyes, tire poke is ugly. Tiresize.com says they'll fit, but it seems like no tire/wheel vendor wants to sell me this combo.

Tire to wheel fitment varies by tire manufacturers. Check the website for the tire you're interested in and they will have size limits listed.

I'm lowered and have a 285s on 10.5" wheels and it fits under the fender fine.

Offset is just as important as tire and wheel size, BTW. To limit poke get the highest (largest number) offset you can find. I would guess anything over +40 on a 285 won't poke.

These pics are 20x10.5 on +45 285s lowered, for reference.

thanks for sharing your experience. How do you find the improvement in traction vs. stock? Also, what size front wheels did you go with?

The front are +35 20x9 on a 245.

I can't really compare traction vs stock since I did a few more mods right around the time I installed the wheels.

IMHO, "poke" is a very good thing. I love the meaty look!

Does anyone know the specs on those Work Zeast ST1? I've pretty much decided that's the setup for me...Granted with quite a bit less lowering

Verde Axis 19"

What are you all doing with your stock rims?

I'm looking at rims and keep coming back to the matte graphite Axis V99.

Did you install the stock TPMS sensors and do you have any interference between them and the calipers? Also, can you take a side profile pic of the fronts and rears? I'd like to see how flush they are.

Thanks!!

Yes, they are pretty nice. Mine are in bronze. Very similar to the Fastwheels FC-04 which I use for my winter wheels (black).

Back to the Verde Axis wheels, something interesting about them which I didn't realize until I got them is that the valve stem is actually on the inner wall instead of outer wall of the wheel. So the stem has to be small enough to pass under the brembos. Looks like they have less than a mm of clearance, lol. The dealer indicated he had to search for an unusual valve stem for it to fit and not tear off as soon as it's driven.

In regards to TPMS, yes the stock sensors were installed no problem but curiously it took several hours of driving over a few days for the car to get a reading.

I don't have profile pics but will try to get it for you soon.

Great...thanks so much! (Fellow Canadian here BTW...moved to Texas 12 years ago).

So that valve stem in the pic is actually the TPMS?

Also, would you say they are flush or poke out some?

Well, the TPMS is inside the wheel...so I'm not sure I understand your question.
