My patience went bye-bye when I realized how much I wasted on the RaceChip. It does its job, but I think the boost lag from it is a PITA.

I wont ask you why you even got the Race chip on the first place. You should of got a JB4 to be honest.

No worries you live and you learn. I myself have made some mistakes as well with this platform. I learned to be a little patient and do my research since its so new.

Sell that POS Race chip and wait and few more weeks.

I have a feeling that BTR/Lap 3 might be ahead of all the competition once they release their tunes.

I could be wrong but only time will tell.

I'm hoping to hear something about this soon. I plan to also hit Pressertech early May, but if this comes out with comparable performance with a better price then I would be all over it.

I will let you know as soon as I head in there and can talk about it. Still shooting for next week!

I'm debating Pressertech as well since they're only ~2.5 hours from me, and I'll be in Atlanta this fall for a music festival. Can you see if they have any plans / experience with the Transmission side of things? I really want better launch control.

I am not sponsored by BTR and If that changes so would my opinion lol. Id go local. When you have the opportunity to work with someone in driving distance for tunes you do it. Right now you have to mail shit around the world (for me near chicago) and that just not feasible. Brancky, Pressertech is legit man. Ive talked to them so much of the last couple weeks and I wish I was a local because there wouldnt be any debate for me. They are helping push this platform further than most know about. I really feel the deserve a ton of business and it looks like they are especially on there Stage 1 mild tune. I would talk to them about a modified stage 2 tune. Talk to Todd.

I am not looking who can eek out a few more power numbers. I am just looking for reliability at a good price. It's all subjective, but I worry about tuners who's sole purpose is to get the best performance numbers.

Yup. I would definitely wait. BTR and Lap3 have been in the KDM platform for a VERY long time. BTR has built a few SEMA cars, they have 1000 HP 3.8 Gen coups running around and the same with Lap3 they have done crazy things with Optima SXLs. I do know BTR will be cheaper than Pressertech. I also feel like with Pressertech you are getting support like you would from Terry @ BMS though and I dont think you will get that anywhere else. Not saying you will get bad service from BTR or Lap3 but people like Todd and Terry set the f*cking gold standard lol.

@eflyguy maybe able to talk about the support. EFly, have you reached out to Todd on any issues or concerns? How was the response time and quality of support?

I agree Myself and Terry went from haters to lovers lol.........Terry/Todd keep their word even when there can be disagreements.

Their business model is designed for the customer. They really support their customers.

I wish I could say that for everyone.
 
If he gets a good stage 1 ecu tune he won't need support. Set it and forget it.

Reliable and good price? Typically those two words don’t go together very often.

I wouldnt always agree with that. One of the cheapest tuning solution for the Stinger is the JB4 and its arguably one of the most reliable and well priced.
 
You're all playing with our emotions bumping this BTR thread; I keep thinking there's an actual update :D
Maybe you should start a donut fund so you can go bribe them to release this faster

I guess I should of said cheaper. I would spend 1250 in a heart beat if my car did mid 12's reliably and knowing that I had it done by a reputable shop like PresserTech that do it for a living. But if someone came out for 1,000 for practically the same thing then I would feel a better value spent.
 
I don’t understand why they won’t release the tune. Who cares if someone works off of it. And the transmission tune just increased the rev limiter. What good does that do with the worlds smallest turbos.

I’m extra fires up today, people need to pay there debts and learn how to drive. Or buy a ticket and sit on the back of the bus!

Better 0-60 times since you won't need to shift into 3rd to hit 60. Bragging rights.

I would be more interested in a tune/jb4 combo. I dont want to run the car at the highest setting the whole time, I drive the car hard everyday and I like the fact that with the JB4 I can have it on map 0 or 1 for daily driving and change it on the fly to another map when needed. You also get the live monitoring, logging maps, meth control etc.

Buddy that is what I am Doing, I am going to run a BTR/JB4 combo so the car is not on kill mode all the time.....

The Gogeta Stinger? Or maybe Vegito would be better..
 
I daily drive my 22 psi ECU tune. Aside from keeping it happy with Octane its not a big deal. If you stay off the gas you stay off the boost. Its always ready to pounce but I normally drive it mellow.

I personally prefer the Vegito Stinger lol.

But you see all this hype over the stinger GTS well my stinger will the Stinger code "BTRJB4".

When you hear that code it means its on kill mode.

I will attempt to F shit up at the track. I will attempt to take the number #1 spot as well.

I think I got a lot of people's attention when I hit 11.9 with the JB4. Many thought it was impossible and a myth from Terry and the fan boys.

Well I made that myth real. The fusion is a myth right now, but I have all the intention's to make it real.

I feel that with the Support of Terry and the guys at BTR locally, I will be able to make this fusion a success.
