Yes. I was weak. I'm away from home. I can't count on my son's water to be soft. Overnight pollen and dirty rain and bird poop got on my car. Scary looking process, though, isn't it!![]()

This treatment is necessary because my car is exposed to the open Texas sky. It's going to be a long five more days. *sigh*
Coating makes washing it easier. You could've hosed car down with just water until you got home. Actually, does anyone know if the 9H coatings actually protects the paint from swirls like the one from a touch car wash? Are you saying that ceramic coating makes automated car washes safe? Mine is as bad. I don't have an enclosed garage so not only has all the pollen settled, but being under cover means the rains have not washed it away. Spring in Atlanta..
Lol. You guys are overreacting. I do ninety percent of my car washes by hand. This car wash place does a complete soap and spray rinse prior to entering the tunnel. That means the dangly fibers are clean: which eliminates the greatest danger and fear: of gravel and whatnot caught in them from a previous filthy vehicle, getting dragged and swiped all over your car. If the fiber dangles are clean, there is no risk to speak of. It would take many such car washes to finally create noticeable swirls.Say it ain't so! Car violence on the forum. Somebody get his keys![]()

My biggest beef is that this place charges c. 50% more than I am used to. With a tip, an "exterior only" wash was twenty bucks. Heh!
Oh go on. It's swirls, not death. Buff out, wax and go on with life.Merlin think what you want, but those things are instant swirl makers no matter how you slice it. It's not the end of the world, it's just the end of your car, that's all. haha
Interesting timing on your purchase, since I am "on one" lately about needing the undercarriage sprayers in an automated tunnel. I'd have to see yours demonstrated to be convinced that a single, moveable jet compares to a bank of fixed jets running the width of the carriage/chassis, while the car is pulled slowly over them.Washed and waxed using some new gear I got off e-bay: Ryobi undercarriage sprayer and electric power washer. Total cost was about $125 with their 15% off special. The undercarriage washer works really well getting off that nasty winter salt. I used this stuff at about 40 degrees after I first got it in March,View attachment 22608 so any unusually warm winter day, the undercarriage will get a rinse.
Careful, this sort of thing is habit forming....lolCouple little things so far.View attachment 22640 View attachment 22641
