Good Morning Guys.

I'm thinking to trade my, to something more sporty.
But, because the KIA is so go and they are paying nothing on it, makes this, very difficult.
What you think could be a good upgrade.
First all, I'm getting only $34k~$35k for my GT2 with 18000 miles.

911 Carrera - Less HP, >70k, less items.Less HP. But it's a porsche. Because will be used, I have a little concern about the PDK. My friend had a problem with his Boxster and the bill was 22k for the transmission.

M3/M4 - I will spend less money, less items too, not too much HP difference. A new model coming this year.

Shelby GT350 or ZL1: I will loose a lot of confort items, but i will have HP. In the end of day, I will be using it to commute with 80miles.

Audi Rs5: >70k, AWD(We have snow here!). Audi reliability it's no so good.

Nissan GTR: >70k, difficult to find one, expensive insurance, seams the transmission could fail in the earlier models.

Alfa Romeo Giula Quadriflogio: 50k, nice car, nice engine, I think in 1 year, this car will loose a lot of money, more than the KIA.

What you guys think?

Regards

You have snow WHERE? (location in your user profile is handy).

Your short list amounts to negative. The Stinger wins each comparison. Keep it!

I live in Chicago.

Whichever way you think about it, Stinger wins every time. That’s the reason we’re all here....

My question would be - why are you thinking of changing? What about the Stinger are you not happy about?

I chose my Stinger over the Alfa and BMW, so what I think really won't help you.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Most of the cars on your list have high maintenance costs, that was my deciding factor.

Really hard to beat price, HP, warranty with the Stinger.

My short list was Q50 RS, Audi S6, Stinger GT2

I had Audi and BMW before and I know how the road goes with those cars.

I would like have more HP !

If horse power is your main concern only, then wait a few years, I am sure there will be better after market turbo set up...although there is other small option such as JB4 and LAP3.

Everything you listed is going to be used and out of warranty or close to it if you're trying to stay around the same price. If you can afford what could be pretty expensive repair bills, go for it, if you can't I would caution you to stay with something you can afford. Fixing almost anything on the Audi, GTR, BMW, and Alfa is going to be costly. The domestics won't be as bad, but will depend on what breaks. Everything you listed is going to be faster and more sporty than the Stinger at the cost of comfort and utility. Most Stinger owners value a combination of all those things, otherwise we would be driving a Mustang GT or something similar if we just wanted cheap speed.

If you want more HP, modify the Stinger, it'll get pretty close to most of those in HP (around 500-550 crank full tuned and bolt ons.)

completely illogical

If that is your only con for the Stinger, then why not consider the many tunning options available in the form of piggybacks or even ECU flashes?

IMO that is one simple issue with a simple solution that will save you money as well, since you already own the car.

Why did you buy the Stinger in the first place? Once you answer that question, maybe we can point you in a better direction. As for your trade-in value, shop it around yourself instead of relying on what the dealer will offer you. As a point of reference, I was only offered $37k for my '18 GT2 Stinger but ended up holding out for $39k when I traded for my '19 Stinger. I'll admit, I definitely got more than expected for trade but if you sell it privately, you'll get more $$ for sure.

I feel like we are being trolled, with all the current aftermarket mod's getting you close to 500hp can't imagine you getting anything like that for the price also think about how much cheaper a Kia is to repair than any of your listed cars.

If lack of HP is your motivation, then I think many of those would work for you. I suggest you drive them and choose based on what you feel has enough HP. There are many other option with more HP than the Stinger, but I'm sure you've already ruled those out.

I personally ruled out BMW, Audi and Alfa based on ongoing maintenance and all of those, plus the Nissan (and AMG), were ruled out due to initial cost. Some, including Mustang and Corvette, were also ruled out because of practicality.

If none of those are factors, then choose based on what feels powerful. Many people are happy with that.

I don't want put too many aftermarket parts. Maybe a catback and the piggyback. But I don't wanna change turbo, downpipe and etc.

Which ones you recommend? I don't want modify and make my car too loud(Unless I could turn on / off)

I almost drove all(Missing GTR and the americans). Yes, the maintance costs are more. but this is not a problem. The only thing I don't want, is get for example a 2015 911 and spend 20k because my transmission is not working and I don't have warranty.

But I understood you point of view, thanks

My first option was a BMW M3 blue, but my wife(Always her), started talking in my head kkkk.
And then, I looked a ATS-V.

Based on all reviews and etc, I went to the Stinger. I don't get me wrong, I really like the car, because is too good, this is the reason why I didn't trade it .

Then you are in luck, the piggyback itself will catapult you to a very respectable 450whp with everything else stock. I recommend the JB4 for the piggyback. If you want to extract a few more ponies off of it consider an intake and downpipes. That will get you close to the 500whp mark and the car will not be crazy loud as you still have the oem mufflers.

Thanks for the advice.

I just need the JB4 and Spark plugs?

Do you know a catback I could turn on/off the valves?

Regards

Correct, JB4 and spark plugs.

So far I know of three options available on the market for the Stinger (JUN BL, Tubi Style, BAQ). I personally have the Tubi Style EVC catback and love it, no drone when the valve is closed, no rasp when the valve is open and fitment and quality of materials used are top notch. Also the system uses an electric motor to operate the valves as opposed to a vacuum actuator and has bluetooth capabilities.
