Replacing the Stinger

Thanks for the advice.

I just need the JB4 and Spark plugs?

Do you know a catback I could turn on/off the valves?

Regards

There is at least 1 option for catback with valves (Jun BL), but you can also buy "exhaust cutouts" from companies like BadlanzHPE, DMH, and others, buy the Y pipe, get it welded in and wire the electrics. You can go from stock to loud with the flip of a switch.

That's the XFi exhaust that was posted here a month or so ago, and there's also the XForce Varex. @robz32 got the rest. You still have to remember, the car is only ~17 months on the market, so the selection is growing.

The other options mentioned to get you to ~500HP, and you still have the Kia repair costs vs. the other manufacturers if something breaks. I test drove just about every thing on your list (exception being the 150k+ 911 and GTR) while mine was being repainted. Audi, BMW, Alfa, and MB were immediately off of the list for ridiculous up front cost and every bolt above what holds the car together costing extra when the Stinger GT2 already comes with those options. Plus those maintenance costs need no introduction here. Mustang, not practical at all and very uncomfortable to me; same with the Camaro. Take the comfort thing with a grain of salt, as I am a disabled vet with constant back and leg problems, so something I couldn't stand my be fine for others.

Q50 RS, eh, didn't really do anything for me. It's dam nice but it just doesn't do it for me. Cadillac is Cadillac, but they like them more than I do plus the maintenance costs aren't too far off of the Germans when something breaks.

The only thing that came close, and a dam close second mind you, was the Challenger 392 Scat Pack (yellow of course). It was very easy to get in and out of, plenty of room for suitcases to travel............and the sound coming out of that engine........just pure music. The backseat is basically there for insurance, but if you need a 4-door theres always the Charger.

I bought the Stinger for the same reasons already mentioned. Fast enough stock, comfy as hell, usable back seat, and plenty of room in the hatch. It's got all the nifty tech included in the price and the maintenance is cheap when they are out of warranty. Try some of the suggested options before you jump ship and I think you will be pleasantly surprised with what the Stinger is capable of.

It's funny, after test driving over 20 cars my choice came between a Challenger Scat Pack Widebody and the Stinger....

Find the highest HP car you can afford and buy it...done! I mean why the discussion? I'd suggest you be rich or have multiple jobs in order to pay for those out of warranty repairs on those big HP cars, but you're good. Big HP all day long for you. :geek:

I really didn't understand why are being ironic about my questions.
Maybe I could have a dream to have one of those or I'm old enough or have being working hard for a long period and now I want give me a gift!
Or simple, I'm just asking question from people which could, looking from outside, being more rational and give me advises.

If it's "rational" you're after: It's cheaper to keep her! Simple.

My daughter has a Challenger and I've driven it a lot, including up in the hills. It's fabulous, but the AWD Stinger is better.

Good Morning Guys.

I'm thinking to trade my, to something more sporty.
But, because the KIA is so go and they are paying nothing on it, makes this, very difficult.
What you think could be a good upgrade.
First all, I'm getting only $34k~$35k for my GT2 with 18000 miles.

911 Carrera - Less HP, >70k, less items.Less HP. But it's a porsche. Because will be used, I have a little concern about the PDK. My friend had a problem with his Boxster and the bill was 22k for the transmission.

M3/M4 - I will spend less money, less items too, not too much HP difference. A new model coming this year.

Shelby GT350 or ZL1: I will loose a lot of confort items, but i will have HP. In the end of day, I will be using it to commute with 80miles.

Audi Rs5: >70k, AWD(We have snow here!). Audi reliability it's no so good.

Nissan GTR: >70k, difficult to find one, expensive insurance, seams the transmission could fail in the earlier models.

Alfa Romeo Giula Quadriflogio: 50k, nice car, nice engine, I think in 1 year, this car will loose a lot of money, more than the KIA.

What you guys think?

Regards
911 used to find one cheap you are going to find one a really used, as you can see on my previous posts Porsche reliability is bad especially the build quality and durability on their interior materials

M3/M4 don't know if they have changed their plastic water pumps but had major headaches their plastic water pump exploding on my previous 2015 M3

Mustang? I have had muscle cars all of them with major mechanical problems guess I have had bad luck with them my previous 2017 Camaro SS transmission went dead after less than 1 yr of use, never will buy GM/Ford again.

Audi RS5 good option but my previous A6 interior leather was cracking at 2 years of careful use, plus the cost of the RS5 is above 80k, too much for a fast sleeper

Alfa Romeo have awful reliability tracks in the USA maybe they are better noow

GTR? nah.

Good luck finding your next baby.

When you line up Apples for Apples it is a no brainer on every level.

If you're unsure get a list of pro & cons. The Stinger will tick more boxes than the others. And the mods will be relatively inexpensive to achieve your HP requirements.

If you are already thinking about switching then its just a matter of time. My wife has a Model 3, and I would go with a Model 3 Performance if I were you. The second option would be the Quadrifoglio, I would go with the Stelvio.

Keep the Stinger and use the money you'd waste on a new car to move away from Chicago

Don’t forget a 7 year warranty as well.

Alfa Quadrifoglio. Its the best car on that list.

Thank you everybody for the advises.
Seams the better is drive the Stinger for at least one more year.

I really like it, nice interior, powerful. But what scares me the depreciation. Seams the Americans have something again the Alfa.(And I understand, FIAT is very complicated ahahha)

Jeremy Clarkson bought a Quadrifoglio which tells me it must be an incredible machine since he could buy just about whatever he wants and he's driven everything under the sun.
