Below is the number 4 and number 5 spot on the track 1/4 mile

Seems like the Tork ecu stage 1 tune out performs the JB4 on map 8 at least on the Track with similar mods.

There both AWD. The only diffference between the 2 is Kato is running WMI and Miguel is running an Intercooler, which they somewhat offset each other. I believe the WMI is more effective than the intercooler but that is just my opinion.

I think the JB4 on map 8 runs more boost than Tork stage 1.
Tork 17-18 psi on stage 1
JB4 probably runs about 7-9 psi over stock on map 8, JB4 probably runs anywhere between 18-22 psi. Than means the JB4 is running about 2-4 more psi than the tork Stage 1 tune.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but based on this info this is what it seems.

4. 12.09 @ 114.83, Miguel P, 7.80 @ 91.61, 1.86
GT2 AWD, Tork ECU Stage 1, CX CAI, CX FMIC, muffler delete.

5. 12.12 @ 116.82, @Kato_the_kia_stinger 7.91 @92.12, 1.92

AWD, JB4 map8, K&N intake, VT snorkel, WMI, 93 octane
That 12.12 was without traction control since I’m having issues hooking the tires with LC. In fact, Miguel beat me head to head twice that day, both times I lost throttle. But, nevertheless, I haven’t done better than that 12.12.

Kato had a hard time launching (earlier runs were 12.8 with launch mode bouncing out off the line) but it's running the traps for 11s. He's going to get there soon.

Yeah, Miguel and I (and the rest of Stung By Kia) chill all the time. Yes. We have videos. Yes, I’m having traction issues with AWD. No. Right now, my best time was in manual launch. I just mashed it at green. No. I wouldn’t say his car is faster. In that race where he hit 12.09, I’m trapping higher. I trap between 116-118mph.

Yes he knows Miguel both are from stung by Kia crew we all meetup in the track. Angel you still keeping your car?

I wonder if I need wider tires on my AWD when I hit the track this summer? I currently have 245 up front and 275 on the rear. Last time I went to the track my best was a 12.4 without using launch control on any of my runs. At the time I only had DIY intakes, SSR downpipes, SSR muffler deletes. I only ran Map 2. This will also on the old firmware for the JB4.

When I go this summer I will have intercooler, Run map 3 with new firmware and E30 fuel mix, and use launch control. Wonder if the combination of intercooler, Map 3, E30 fuel mix, and launch control will do the trick to get me to 11.9
 
But yeah, this doesn’t look legit. So the real question is did he forge the date? That really makes no sense if he did. I really hope he makes another appearance to explain himself.

Should have the power for it but racing is a details business. Everything has to align for those really fast runs. That is where dragy is so great at letting you take as many runs as you'd like to really practice what works and what doesn't.

I was going to get rid of it but the wife wants to keep it. I got the car for her lol, and ended up falling in love with the Stinger. I Really want to buy the new Supra or a GTR. I need to make my mind up. If I want to let go any of my Lexus cars lol. I love my Lexus babies. I have a 2 car garage and 5 cars, I need to get rid of something. But in all honesty the Supra has been my dream car since a young boy. I want one before I die, so once it hits the market I will see how the aftermarket support is. If I am not liking it, I will probably sell my ISF and Lexus IS 300 and get a used low mileage GTR.

Only time will tell, even if i get rid of the Stinger I will still come here on this forum and troll you guys lol

I will need to borrow @DaBears4Lyfe dragy and get to practicing. I just hear mixed reviews on launch control. I have heard people say that they got there best 1/4 times using it and some people say it has not made a difference. Hard for me know since I never used it before.

The sounds of the V8 ISF is orgasmic and the sound of that 2JZ is addicting. They are both extremely reliable cars. There my babies!
I will agree I seen the Telluride at the Chicago car show a couple weeks back and it looks amazing. The wife currently drives a Sorento Winter/Stinger Summer. She has hinted me to go to the dealer to look at the Telluride. I wont give any of my Lexus away at the expense of an SUV and not a KIA LOL. I am mentally not ready at the moment.

But if I buy another SUV or trade in the wife SUV it will most likely be for the Tellurride.

I was just looking at #4 12.09 @ 114 vs #9 12.35 @ 115 both awd. The launch and shift efficiency displayed here.

#4 Miguel is tork stage 1 in cold temps so running 16 psi and is why he is only trapping 114. Lots of room left with some more boost and wmi.

I did 1.82 60 foot at 29 degrees on an unprepped "private " track with no spin. I think kato is the first awd to have issues.

Yeah. I wish I had some insight from others who have had the same problem. I think the cold, along with have my summer tires on, was the culprit. I know my car is tourqy, but it couldn’t possibly be enough to cause that kind of traction issue. Have any thoughts on the matter?

If rain holds off I'll make some runs this weekend but temps will be 45-50.

I have the factory 19s with Sport 4. He has the 18s and all seasons. Yeah, hopefully you get out to the track with other Stingers. I love going with my “Brothers in swArms.”

Maybe go 4s 275s , 245s next round.
I did get out with tork last year, both blue, and it did confuse people and drew some attention. The announcers love a 11 and 12 second Kia.
