I have not and will not install due to the inherent complexities (and price, hot damn!). I think that would be a guarantee on the CEL.
For the O2 sensor you would need an ECU tune that could get around it or an O2 sensor cheater of some type installed.
For the over boost / turbine over speed code you would need either an ECU tune or plug in tune that could get around it.
You'll probably need to talk to the tuners directly. I have not heard of anyone but Tork and LAP3 Korea removing the primaries.

I am more than interested, but I need HFC's to make it happen otherwise the noise and gas smell would be too much for me. Plus the CEL would be a problem.

LAP3 shop car has these installed and they said you must have a their Pro-Tuner or ecu tune to avoid CEL.
The primary downpipes have the worst flow out of the entire exhaust system. It's only 30mm(1.2inch) in diameter. Our upgraded primary downpipes are double that size. We would like to keep it as free flowing as possible, but adding HFC can be an option to consider. If you are not properly tuned for the primary downpipe, you will go into limp mode from over-boost like you have seen on competitors' videos, so they had to put them back to stock. Most bolt-on manufacturers aren't releasing them due to that reason. The car is not driveable without being tuned for it; thus most of them are only selling secondary "downpipes." So make sure to get the Pro-Tuner to go with it :)

$700 for primaries isn’t bad at all. It’s actually extremely cheap for what you get. $2,800 for my old primaries, that was bad! I’d be interested in these, but leaving everything else stock. I assume these would be a big power add on

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
$2,800 for a catless primary?

Yea wtf? Unless it was titanium, that's insane. I think even $700 is insane without a cat...

Well, they have cast openings that are all ported and coated super nice.
At least you are getting something for that extra $$$. They really do look amazing!

Read it and weep gentleman. The AMG tax is strong. Seeing the pricing on the Stinger makes me chuckle to be honest. Pricing has actually gone up since I bought mine...

Weistec M157 Downpipes and Exhaust, E63 RWD - Exhaust - 2012-2017 RWD (W212 / M157) - E 63 - E - Mercedes-Benz - Products

I see I was not alone in my prior life of an M157. Agreed, the AMG tax was absurb. On this platform I just laugh when I see prices the click order. Like I did on these. I've got a set coming and will report back on the install, noise/smell factor. The smell isn;t too bad on modern DI turbo cars since they run so much lean and hotter.

Ah yes. Another member that has been brainwashed by the AMG tax! No doubt the quality of the components are amazing for those vehicles, but I plunked down $3,200 for a set of ARH Long Tubes on my W211. It's total madness with those things!

the JB4 will supress the Cat inefficiency CEL, and likey also address the overboost issue. Both the Lap3 and JB4 address the overboost in the same way, through scaling of the TMAP signal back to the ECU. Either way, I will test and report shortly.

Not that you're wrong, but I did run with primary cats removed and continuously threw CEL warnings related to O2 sensors and the car ran like crap (on JB4 map3). I seem to recall the OBDII codes were related to the O2 heater not functioning specifically. I cleared the codes but they would show up again within 10 mins driving. I'd imagine LAP3 has a tune specifically for this mod.

LAP3 does mention on the product page...
  • Highly recommended to have the vehicle tuned with the LAP3 Pro-Tuner to fully take advantage of the downpipe upgrade.

What is done to your exhaust? How did the Stinger sound?

The cat suppression code function was only just added to the JB4 firmware and is only available to be enabled on non USA region. I haven't tried it but if lap 3 is doing it JB4 can as well. We shall see I guess. One way or another I'll get that to work

hello everyone! I recently installed the Eibach pro kit which is springs and front and rear sway bars along with the chassis collar kit and its totally transformed the car, im super impressed and happy with the setup and with the rims im running it lowers the car the perfect amount to where it looks just about flush. Ive also have installed the Lap3 Pro Tuner, HKS spark plugs, CX racing Tial style BOV, and Add1 oil catch can. I have the Lap3 Primary down pipes in hand atm and im waiting on getting the SSR secondary downpipes in the mail (their on back order) so I can install it all at once. Its all gonna be a catless setup and the rest of the exhaust will be stock for the time being. no intakes installed atm either.

You're the guy that got pulled over for racing the Civic Si right? What happened at the end of that video?

Please take a video of how it sounds with the stock mufflers. I'm betting really good!

I'm looking for some turbo whistle from the exhaust, but not wildly loud

Would love to see a video as well. Keep us posted!

So what's the smell and noise like with catless primaries?
