All I know is the finish needs to be pristine before you start

Got my powder coated OEM GT rims (and Nitto Motivo A/S tires) back this morning. The Michelins on the TSW "Watkins" rims are sitting in the shed until the season of saline solution is over

For a little while, the hatch was about as crammed as it can get, with wheeled tires, three 40 lb bags of water softening salt and two slot car boxes.

How much $$ should someone expect to pay getting that done (powder coat)?

Wheel Werks' price was $600 to powder coat all four rims. But, they initially neglected to include the plastic hub caps, which could not be powder coated and required paint instead: $25 each. I'm sure you can find someone to do it for less. But maybe this is a case of "you get what you pay for"? (Wheel Werks knocked the price of the powder coat down to $400 because I bought rims from them.)

You made the right choise, taking the OEM for winter. I have to say I like them in black but I like aftermarket wheels a bit more :)

Yesterday I finally tryied if my car has lauch control or not. I'm happy to tell every one the 2.0 EU Stinger with drive by wire HAS LC !

Put it in Sport - hold traction contol button for 3 sekunds until you hear a Sound - left foot hard on the brake, floor the gaspedal - after a short period of time it says LC ready - take your foot of the bake and off you go. The notification on the dash will Change to LC activated.

You must have done it right since it said launch control activated. But it takes two steps to disengage both traction control and then stability control; there are two beeps and it is more like five seconds holding down the button to disengage the whole thing.

I have a 2019 GT2 AWD and I haven't tried LC yet. The salesman was telling me when I was driving the car that you can only do launch control once before having to have the dealer reset it. I never heard anyone else mention that. What's up with that?

Total bs lie. Fk salesmen.

As a salesman though, why would he say that? It makes the car he's trying to sell less appealing to the customer. Maybe he was just misinformed (which I've noticed is pretty common among car salesmen) about his product?

I find it hard to believe that anyone would have told him that each instance of launch control required a dealer reset - but if so, a reasonably intelligent person would have asked why, as it makes no sense. He certainly didn't read it anywhere in the car's documentation.

Perhaps the sales manager or somebody else further up the food chain told him to give out that line to try and restrict people using that feature on test drives - either way, it's not true and my inclination is to walk away when I start hearing that kind of malarkey ...
