What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

It’s a fantastic car. I test drove one. Pretty quick, but just not quick enough. Everything else is better than the Stinger, but more expensive too.
Can you explain what you mean with everything is better in the Arteon than the Stinger?

The car has a 4 cylinder engine with less than 300hp, a front wheel drive layout, and weighs 500lbs more than the Stinger. Brand? meh.
This does not check many boxes for me.

First autocross event, had a blast despite wet, windy, then foggy weather that eventually cut the day short. No action shots I'm afraid. My dash cam was running but I forgot to pull the SD card when I came in the house..

Got a fair bit of attention..

The title to this thread is appropriately named: What did you DO TO YOUR STINGER. Not, what did you do with it or for it, what did you DO to it.

This afternoon, I rashed my LF rim AAAGAIN. How was that even possible? I haven't gotten curb rash in eight months. Here is how it happened (there is always a reason): I was looking in a crowded parking lot for an end stall and finally found one. The car parked next to it was closer than I like, and I was moving to establish as much space between us as possible, and paying more attention to that spacing than to how close I was getting as I turned in. *scrrraaatccchhh* One of the most horrible sounds in the universe. Oh! but I said words (my wife forgave me for assaulting her ears; she felt so bad for me).

I abandoned the shopping excursion at once and drove home swiftly so that I could sand the damned damage down. It was cold out. I lacked patience (done this too many times already!). As far as I know, the damage could have been over already smoothed out previous damage. Heh!

Anyway, you can see the difference that c. fifteen minutes made: it passes the "six foot away" rule. :p

That looks great, what process did you use? A few passes with a finer grit each time? Did you tape off the other areas, or have any other tips?

Paint correction for the botched paint correction...

Finally smoked my tail lights after a good bath.

So far, I really like the look.

Awesome look, I want! Was it difficult to do?

Thanks! No, not at all. Just took time and patients. Like putting screen protectors on phones, just a bit of soapy water and I used a hair dryer with a squeegee to get the bubbles out.

So I have just taken my Stinger into the service department for my bumper respray and the guy who I was dealing with throughout the whole dilemma last week completely ignored me when I was at the counter. Another guy served me and had to check with this other moron who was facing my direction but refused to acknowledge me, like I was the one who had done something wrong! What a joke. Nice service department. After this is all fixed I WONT be returning.

Sounds like he is feeling guilty. Probably had his ass chewed by some one higher. Let him squirm I say.

You should let the Dealer Principal know about this entire debacle.

I will. The guy who served me told me HE is leaving them because of how unprofessional they are, so what does that tell you. I just dropped into the Smash Repair Centre to let them know the Stinger will be dropped off by Kia shortly and they also told me a guy who has been there 19 years is ALSO leaving because things are bad. The place is run by kids now.

Try Heartland in Blacktown next time. Only a small workshop but very good and friendly service. Tell Nicole I recommended.
