Quality problems

Whirring noise is diff. You need the new oil which was in a service bulletin. Free of charge to do. Speak to your service guy and if he won’t do it it’s a crappy dealership go somewhere else. Message Stinger GTSS he lives in Sydney and has a great dealership he uses.
His dealer is Great Western Kia at Kingswood. I recommend them to.

HEY mate, I had it at the Nobal Kia Revsby today they told me that it is normal? we even took a new GT for a spin to compare & I must say it wasn't as bad as mine though it did only have 14km on it. They think it's more likely from transmission as it seams to more evident when gearing up or down & is more noticeable when driving in Sports mode. I did ask them about the diff but they don't believe it is it sounds like it's from the front of the car?

HEY ALL, .. I totally agree I've had my GT Stinger for almost 6 months & 6000km on the clock have to say what a great looking car & great performane BUT,, ,, Starting to hear a few creaks & Rattles, not to mention some weird whiring sound coming from God knows where? maybe transmission or somewhere else?. The biggest I have at the moment is that the sunroof is constantly creaking & rattling when driving over certain bumps on the and if is worse when the car has been sitting outside in the heat. Can't believe this when u drop $60,000 for a Kia I guess it's what i deserve?. This car is meant to be a step up in the right direction for Kia but looks like they might have dropped the ball when it comes to refinement. Big brother Hyundai is still way ahead. I'm really disappointed! I have it booked in to have this issue rectified but not holding my breath. They have to take out the whole roof lining and possibly the Sunroof too.

I had the squeaking sunroof on my last car (Optima sx) and I sprayed ArmourAll on the rubber seals around the sunroof and it stopped the squeaking.

I had several noises including the sunroof , long story BUT I got the sunroof frame replaced and the WHOLE car is silent and it feels completely different , more solid /rigid and even the sound system is greatly improved ....................they know thwy have a sunroof issue and dont wait for your dealer to fix it , get a file going at Kia Australia , Good luck

Logged a case today. Already got a loaner preapproved.

With the dealer of Kia corporate office?

I will hit 15k miles soon. When that happens I'll take it in for an oil change, wire harness recall, and the grunting sunroof. I hate having to remove the JB4 so I try to get as much done in a single visit as possible.

Called the Kia Premium line to log the case and approve the loaner.

Then did a web appointment for the work referencing the case.

When I show up to drop off, if they give me crap, the Kia hotline guy told me to call him back.

thanks mate I have already done so, it is going in March, but they didn't say anything about replacing the frame. They told me that they are going to to inject some special type of silicone in between the metal areas that are of concern??. This is why I'm thinking it's a waste of time.. and I'll probably be going back again

my advice is be firm that Kia Canada is already replacing them , They tried all that stuff on mine first , complete waste of time . They can search and find out that the fix is complete replacement ...............good luck ! its a game changer when its fixed !!
