Question would this setup work with the rear being 19/9.5/40 mm offset with 275/35 rubber and fronts 19/8.5/35 offset with rubber 255/35?upload_2019-2-5_22-24-48.webp

Sounds good to me but the rear tires will be a little taller than the fronts. Might be a problem if you have AWD

Yep. There are photos in this thread of that exact wheel setup but with the stock tires. Tires will fit

It’s 2.12% different in diameter between front and rear. No issue as long as you’re within 3%.

I forgot to ask... That setup lowered on Eibach springs with sway bars front and back - no issues rubbing and a clean look?

Will look perfect. Nice and flush. No rubbing.

I have a couple questions regarding tire sizes and brands It you don`t mind me asking - Those sizes you quoted, what brand would you recommend for tire ware and performance(summers) - Best all around i guess - and at 255-35 on the front we are good with out rubbing? could we put 285s on the rear instead of the 275/35 or is that pushing the flush look?

What brand are you planning on purchasing?

I will also like you, burn of the OEMs first.

Sorta of topic exhaust question - how has the SSRs holding up with the winter so far? - and with it lowered have you have any issues with clearance?

Thanks man!

I’ll likely go with an all season when I change out my stock tires. They wear better and last longer. I’ve gone through many sets of summer tires and they don’t last.

I’ve always liked the continental DWS 06 but I’ve also heard that the Nitto Motivo is a good all season with a long warranty so I might try those. Depends on price and I haven’t priced out either lately. Tire Rack is a good website to research tires so check them out. They do their own testing and ratings and also have owner reviews.

If you’re set on a summer tire, I’ve had the best luck with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports but they’re pricey. A more economical tire is the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2. I went through two sets of the Evo1s and liked them.

Stick with the 275/35 or 275/30. A 285 is too big and exceeds the 3% diameter from stock.

My Stinger doesn’t see winter. She’s hibernating until spring so I can’t comment on the mid-pipes in winter but I wouldn’t be concerned. The front will rub before the midpipes ever hit anything.

I also said above that the 9.5 rear with +40 offset would be flush but it will be slightly tucked. A +35 offset would be ideal. Or you can add a 5mm spacer if that’s the only offset available in that size. It will still look ok regardless.

Just off the phone with the Rims guys, and had a talk with them about tires sizes and he was very hesitant on pricing up anything other than stock setup. I though was kinda weird but ya lol. - Guess i will see how they look when i mount the stockers on for summer.

Been pricing up Nitto Invo and reading reviews - They seam to be very highly recommended - but again i tend to agree with you about ware and i am not into spending 2K for rubber ever year or second just for summers - Will look into the Motivo and Continental DWS 06 and see what i find!

When you say "slightly tucked" what does that mean?

Their default is to always go to the stock size as that is what their computer says... a good wheel/tire shop will actually help with fitment based on your preference instead of what’s easiest for them.

Slightly tucked as in not totally flush with the fender. It’ll be just inside the fender a bit. So you could go more aggressive with a +30 front offset and a +35 rear.

I am finally (after nearly 60 days) looking to add wheels to my 2019 GT2 AWD - Ceramic Grey (on Eibach springs). I have narrowed it down to two options but wanted a second opinion on the variations. Specifically in: tire size and offset (closest to flush). Also does the center-bore make a difference?

With the offsets and widths your looking at, it will look sexier than that photo for sure too, that care looks the have 8” or 8.5” front and rear. Your fronts would look like that and your rear more concave.

Sorry, I'm trying to read back through the thread.. What's the consensus on tyre sizes for 20" rims?

I recently got some 20"s with 245/30r20 on the front and 275/30r20 on the rear(pictured). I've booked it into get Eibach PRO's fitted next week but I still think the fronts are a little too thin.

Is anyone running a 1" lower with 245/35r20 on the front and 275/35r20 on the rear? So 35's all round? Or 35 front, 30 rear maybe?

Cheers,

@basysmith I would go 35 all around, 30 is way too thin IMO. 35 is still rather thin for me but going to 40 might throw it off way too much from the stock size. I am debating on 20's also, and planned on going 35 all the way around.
