Yeh yeh I know, guilty as charged at least I stop myself nowAhah, but you reap what you sow.![]()
The depreciation seems to be fairly significant; I've already come across 2 new 2018 GT2's that the dealers would take $40K for.
That’s a great deal but isn’t significant depreciation. After rebates and negotiating I only paid around $42k for my GT2, and that was an entire year ago!The depreciation seems to be fairly significant; I've already come across 2 new 2018 GT2's that the dealers would take $40K for.
They may be new but they are leftovers from last MY. That commands a big discount with any car.
Yes, and even more than the discounts off sticker. When I look at auction sales, it's an even uglier story, always. Buying a brand new auto is not an investment. It's a sunk cost.
You should see some of the 2018 Audi A6 discounts I've been coming across. Plenty of them are $10-15k off and some as high as $20k off sticker.

I know you are into the A6, was my dream car for years after getting one as a loaner when I had an A4, went to drive one to upgrade from my 525 and it didn’t wow me in the ride and handling, ended up with a 535 as a replacement. Been a while since I drove one but I still like how they look. With that discount are you considering giving up the Stinger for one?
