Tune, Intake, Downpipe. PUMP GAS. Solid repeatable 11s. That would be my end game.
Seems doable with ecu tune. ☺ Your dp makes same or more power than my fmic and catback.
Or figure out the mystery of get stungs car.

yeah... it is unreasonable. The GTR is a 111k purpose built sports car. The Stinger is a 50k sports sedan. While a FBO and tuned Stinger will have close to the same power output as a GTR, the rest of our drivetrain doesn't have anywhere near the same capabilities. A 565 crank hp GTR (stock) will run almost an 11 flat all day while a Stinger with similar output will be in the upper 11s. The same power to weight ratio but a huge difference in ET and it's all because of that drivetrain. If we could run a 2.9 second 0-60, we would be all over the 10s at this point, but I'm pretty sure our stock diff and transmission would blow up if we ever did.

Hell, many GTRs had their transmissions blow up because their launch control has that much force.
Well, I would venture that most of it is the dual clutch vs our torque converter. BUT that doesn’t mean we can’t dial it in a little more. Also I understand the difference between the Datsun and our cars. But these facts don’t change “just because “ our cars are both TTV6. Similar weight. And decent transmission. We don’t know if it will break because no one that we know of has done better than like a 1.8x 60. Which is not bad if your driving a suburban. I have faith we can get close. Now, is the stinger going to go 9s 8s and so on like the Datsun is..I can’t see that

I can easily run 11s without WMI also, on E30. My next goal though is to run 11s on the stock rims/tires on E30 without WMI. :)
Well the truth is that I dont think you have ran 11s at the track with or without WMI....This is the deal Terry if i run 11s at the track once it opens up and post the results and I am the first stinger to run 11s at the track without any WMI and a JB$ with no ecu tune ....then you ship me one of those 15 dollar JB4 cell phone holders... i really need one I always grab my phone with my hand.... Sound fair Terry?

Sure if you run 11s at the track I'll send you, or any customer, a phone mount free of charge. :)

But you're RWD so unless you get drag radials it's going to be hard. I'd start shopping for rims/tires.

Maybe you should give us a little insight on what RWD mods you are planning :)

Thanks Team !!!

Ah OK, if you are AWD should be a slam dunk. Go for it!

GT2, RWD, RaceChip, Tork Intakes, 42 degrees at sea level, ~99 octane

All times are always welcome to be posted for discussion. I think Brancky is capturing all the times in his spread sheet.
Awesome time for just a race chip and intake!
Edit Branky, Branchy, Brancky - got it!

Tork put his new dragy to work last night and ran a 12.11 as part of this 1/2 mile with a 2.28 60 foot. He ran 1.91 to 1.95 60s at the track so this is looking like 11.5 potential run at the track. (Posted to FB)

In your UNBIASED opinion is 18.85 good or bad for 1/2 mile?

You mean Brancky haha.

Does the negative slope mean he is going uphill or down hill ?

people are typically more interested in trap speed in 1/2 mile events

What would a decent speed be for our cars?

Probably not amazing as the 1/4 mile was not great and he mentioned some high speed overboost issues. I was more interested in the 1/4 mile potential.

Is anyone noticing the drop in elevation on that Dragy run posted above?

I'm not trying to "poke the bear" here ,but the trap being 119 has allot to do with the almost 25ft drop in elevation throughout the run.

Now granted finding a flat 1/2 mile stretch is tough but claiming mid 11s based on this Dragy and previous track visits doesn't equate. I'm also aware that he ran the 11.9 and is the fastest on paper so I'm looking forward to the next track day. Cmon spring!

@robz32 no changes this week.

That Dragy run probably wasn't valid, judging by the cropped screenshot and slope. With a good launch it would have been a powerful run for sure
