JB4 WMI Stinger Dyno Results 11/06/18

WMI is a great mod that works by itself, and also in conjunction with any other mods you may want to add
Hi Terry on the new plugnplay with the injector/solenoid in the charge pipe will the JB4 handle everything ? can you program the injection to come on only when you hammer down....and not use it while just cruising...so I guess that's possible right? also can the wmi take the place of adding 4 gals of e85 to the gas tank at fill up everytime? :) Wash

The JB4 manages it all, yes. Meth is only phased in under heavy throttle. With WMI you could skip the E85 if you wanted, unless you're looking for the most extreme performance. Then run both. :)

Just added our new PNP WMI adapters to the website. Someone asked what a Stinger WMI kit might look like so I put together a sample in the shopping cart.

I would consider a WMI kit IF the container was semi hidden up front for a much shorter hose and wiring run.

Me Too.....how much does the windshield canister hold? If you're using a 50/50 mix it shouldn't degrade the canister....plus one could tie in the one gal generic to the windshield canister for a good amount of meth/water mix from both containers. On another note one of my retirement businesses is mosquito misting systems...I used to build them and install...but building them doesn't save that much,so I buy from the dist.....the meth pump is the same one I used for mosquito misting...it was developed for the carpet cleaning industry...they are well built diaphragm pumps....my suggestion is to put a check valve inline on the pressure side so it keeps the pump loaded up.....there is a small delay with these diaphragm pumps coming up to pressure. the check valve helps to keep the fluid from running back into the tank....that's the way I built em ...and the same for the large company that I buy from now....so, yes I want all my stuff under the hood...one other observation from skeeter misting units... is that pump handles 30 to 40 nozzles on hundred foot runs using 1/4 inch tubing....not 3/8 or anything larger because there is no volume of fluid in misting its all pressure you are concerned about....heck with one nozzle in a car meth system 1/4 inch tubing would be more than enough to handle the little volume to the one mist nozzle and a lot easier to hide and work with....plus it would be easier on the pump too....but what do I know? :) Wash

Good info Wash. Maybe you should put together an under hood kit that almost looks factory with a single 1/4" black line to keep it semi invisible...

I'm definitely interested in a washer fluid tank setup. Some washer fluids are 30% methanol anyway so I'm sure 50% wouldn't be an issue. Plus you'd get a warning on your dash when you're running low!

If you used your washer fluid tank just be aware that a tech at KIA will probaby top it up with washer fluid at your next service haha

Yea but I would be taking the lines off anyway before taking it in, which would remind me to top it off before they have a chance :p

50/50 is considered “non-flammable”.... but that does change slightly when it’s vaporizing.

WHEN I do this it’s going all under hood. And I’m perfectly fine running a 30/70 mix. My primary goal is to keep the back side of valves beautifully clean with power second.

you must not live up north, I doubt you could survive a day without windshield wiper fluid up there in the winter lol

Nope, South Carolina. I moved from Detroit though so I know all about that. But I'd still leave the washers connected to the tank - no harm in spraying a little bit of meth mixture on the windshield.

We used to sell windshield wiper kits parts, back in the day. After a few engine fires we put an end to that. It's a bad idea. Not only for the fire risk, but because the WMI pumps don't work well if they get too hot.

Exactly. Put an extra fitting on it soo the WMI pump can use the same bottle.

I would go thru the top of an extra cap (metal) if there is a metal one? down to bottom of canister.....easily remove the (cap)system...and no leaking holes at bottom of windshield wiper canister....Terry find us a spot to mount the pump please? Are there any connection electric wise up front to connect? Wash

We don't support running the meth pump or fluid in the engine bay, so if you want to do that, you're fully on your own. If you wind up with a fire or a non-functional kit due to pump not priming properly, over heating, etc, don't be surprised. :)

Terry if you are saying the engine bay is too hot for the pump that's one thing I would wanna know so have pumps melted under the hood?,but having the pump, alky and the battery with electrics all nice and close to the rear bumper in the trunk...and then on top of that making a run of tubing along with electric wiring inside the full length of the cabin seems more dangerous to me....also the kit doesn't say this and I dunno whether the tubing is poly or nylon? if not nylon that's not good. Ive worked with fittings of all types and you show brass compression fitting without any hose end dills....a tubing hose dill goes inside the end of the tubing to prevent the ferrel from crushing the tubing.....theres where your fires happen is an amateur overnighting the compression fitting with no hose dill inserted to prevent the leak from happening.....if I was gonna have a safe operation I would certainly use AN stainless braided aircraft hose/fittings from Earls or Aeroquip...not poly hose from home depot....lol :) Wash

As long as pump temps are below say 120F it should be fine. If it's too hot fluid evaporates in the pump heat and causes vapor lock.

Fires occurred from fluid leaking out of the factory washer fluid tank/neck, lighting off the exhaust, not from meth lines themselves leaking.

These same pumps are exposed to direct sun under a faux leather cover on a 55 gal poly tank in my skeeter systems....they do get hot....but underhood its prolly waay hotter for the pump.....now I see what the deal is....the crap washer fluid top...thank you for explaining ....but I would go get hose end dills and include them in your kits :) Wash
