Most who have a JB4 just want to get there toes wet. Those who really want to see what the Stinger can do will get it tune.

Not sure I agree with this. To date, the Tork tune has the quickest 1/4 mile time by 5 hundredths of a second. That's seriously not even worth mentioning. If we start seeing different numbers come in then your post may be true... but for now JB4 holds the highest trap speed record at over 119mph.

You cant say the JB4 hold the highest trap speed. You can say the highest JB4 with meth has a 119 trap speed though. Thats why we list the mods. Pull everything and leave just the JB4 then you can say it. I am not saying meth is cheating I think its all fair game. "You run what you brung" always holds true. But Jb4 and wmi cost about $1300.00.

I can get a Uncle Chip and a 250 shot hooked up and smoke all of these records would we say the Uncle Chip is the best?

Come on, let's be fair. The tork car that trapped close cost much more than that to a consumer right? Without a spare ECU. I understand "repping" your tune, but don't let the bias override critical thinking.... Tork is faster. Full stop. Doesn't mean .1 slower in the 1/4 is "dipping your toes"....

JB4 + WMI isnt dipping your toes I agree. But just the JB4 alone truly is just dipping your toes. FYI I do not have a Tork tune. I still have a JB4 and yes I was getting my toes wet. Now im jumping right in for next track season.

I haven't seen a bone stock JB4 OR a bone stock Tork tune post a time. I would argue Terry's time had less mods if you're splitting hairs here... JB4, intake, and WMI. Tork had a tune, intake, FMIC, primary downpipes, secondary downpipes, and muffler deletes.

I guess you dont realize what Meth does to a car. Not arguing who has less mods, just saying If I slap on a Uncle Chip with NOS and run a 10 second pass would we all say the Uncle Chip is the best?

You aren't wrong. I'd bet money Tork + WMI burns JB4 + WMI. There are pros and cons to both though. We should all be able to agree on that.

100% I agree that the JB4 is great. I loved it and if it wasnt for the jb4 giving me that taste and now urge to go faster, get better and continually improve I wouldnt be working with tork on a ECU tune.

WMI is an intercooler and race gas rolled into one. Plus he has Drag radials and light wheels. Tork also has a first gen tune from 5 months ago running 92 octane. 5 months ago the best jb4 time was high 12.3s.
I'd be shocked if Tork didn't run a 11.75 with tune update, wheels and drag radials that he will have in a few weeks. I suspect high 11.6s, but may need a track to get traction for that.
And Tork just found the second Torque limit setting which should open things up for the ECU tune will the boxes keep banging on that 12 second give or take limit.

Torks other car is running 11.95 with just intake, fmic and catback with mufflers. Not too many mods and on a 92 octane tune.

We do have to live with some slope in the dragy world and valid is valid. But trying to claim the top MPH with a .7% slope vs flat drag strip is certainly a stretch. Same with my 11.95 1/4 mile time vs Torks 11.98. Which is faster for real, not sure. Probably Tork as i was at low 30s and he was in the 70s temp wise. Its the fastest in the dragy world of make believe but hard to compare directly to the track. We know dragy is pretty accurate on a track where it is dead flat we don't know how much of an impact the slope has.

On a different note do you know what meth does to a human? Lower IQ points, increase body temp, higher high, cleans system, increases stamina......power adder has benefits and downsides as well...

I got the JB4 for convenience, I’m not afraid to get more than my toes wet :ninja:.
 
All this should be solved this coming summer when everyone takes their cars to the track....
