Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

Coming out of the parking structure of my doctors building, in Santa Monica, there it was. On the street at the stop sign across from me. He turns right, I change from going straight ahead to turning left and following. I honk and wave from behind. He turns left into a parking lot and parks nose out. I’m pulled over across the street with hazard lights flashing. He rolls down his window and we have a ogle fest. He likes my red I like his ceramic silver. Only the second time I’ve seen it in person. After a quick conversation I hope he joins this forum or Facebook. He’s not currently on the forums. He’s missing out. Matt I hope you see this.

Sounds like a Mills and Boon novel. Will they meet again, will she have his baby? Stay tuned lol.

Saw a white Stinger on the way to Mudgee travelling in the opposite direction . No wave, probably too quick at 100km. I have to say it was "A Stinger in the wild" after these photos and getting beached on one of the 12 cattle grids I encountered. 12.5 km of gravel road, I was trying to reach a holiday retreat and was not told about pot holes and a corrugated road. It took an hour to get there. Next day driving out had to hire a 4 wheel drive for the rest of the stay. "Princess" is both shaken and stirred with her under carriage scraped. Haven't put the wire in vent holes yet so copious amounts of gravel are in the vents.20181128_084556.webp 20181128_084556.webp 20181128_084618.webp 20181128_084618.webp 20181128_085522.webp

So I guess you want a free set of vent mesh now?

Pulled in to the shop for an oil change, radio replacement and new differential on the yellow one. Already replaced diff and radio on red. I pulled up right in back of a silver stinger. Struck up a conversation with the owner. Apparently his parents live in my neighborhood and every time he goes through the gate the guards ask him if he knows the guy with the red and yellow stingers...... now he does. I pointed him to this forum, hopefully he joins. Brought him up to date on paint and rebadging challenges, radio quirks, my differential woes. I think he is having some roter issues so I let him know about those too. He in thinking about going to larger wheels andloves the car as we all do. Checked his paint and it looks good.

Tch,tch, tch, tch, tch, what was that skip the road is a bit rough.

Saw this beautiful red Stinger GT parked near my work on my way to lunch today. Unfortunately for the owner, there was a parking ticket on the windshield. I scribbled out a "hello fellow Stinger owner" note mentioning this forum and my user name, and stuck it next to the parking ticket under the wiper. Maybe the note will offset some of the bitterness from the parking ticket.

Whoa! How are they going to get out of there? The parking must be at a premium in those parts. Did the others have tickets? If not, why not?

I think the angle in the photo makes it look tighter than it really was. Yes, parking is somewhat of a premium in this part of northern Virginia but not as bad as DC proper. There was at least one other vehicle with a parking ticket, so the local tax man will be happy this week.

Hey SnazZ! Was this in Reston? Looks like Reston to me for some reason.

Off topic but when are we all going to get together again?? I need my fellow Stinger owners fix! :)

Heya Lum! The photo was taken in Rosslyn. So you were close....they both start with R! :D Someone should definitely should plan another NoVA meetup! Let's move that part of this conversation into the appropriate thread and we'll pick it up there.

I’ve literally had my white 2019 GT1 for 24 hours, got it in Orlando last night, was driving through Lakeland today and a Black Stinger GT was behind me for a bit, first one I’ve technically seen in the wild lol

My second sighting on my own (without my grandson's or my wife's help:rolleyes:;)). My wife took several pics, that one is the best; we were stopped at a traffic light. A couple of videos too. :D

Pretty unlikely that this is the Jerry Seiner Yellow that they sold back to Kia. But you never know. Rare birds, all of them, which makes this "wild Stinger" even more precious. :P

So, I am of course wondering who this is. She said he looks like a "lumberjack" with a very dark or black beard. And he was grinning as we passed him. (Can't see anything in the pic she took as we passed, so I won't bother to post it.)
