Wrapped the engine bay support struts

Why would would you wrap a piece of metal to look like carbon fiber that is not? i am confused. If you were to open your hood the first thing i would look at is the "stickers" you put around your engine and ask why you why you did that. Why not keep it clean and true to what it is....an engine.

For the same reason kia put fake vents on the hood.....soon as you find out why; Then you will know why the struts are wrapped with fake carbon fiber wrap.

I've seen a few pics on here but can't remember who did it. From memory they are readily available in a variety of colors.

I used Avery SWF109 wrap as it's a near match to body colour. A sheet of vinyl from a craft sbop would probably do but getting it to look good around the curved parts might be challenging. Proper car wrap is so easy to work with.

.............I sort of get your point .................it gets ABUSED a bit , but its a safe way not to piss someone off if you disagree with them etc ...............................you just like calling a spade a shovel ! Bawaaaaaa

So I made small cuts with an Xacto knife on the sides when bends begin.
I did it on a hot day/in the sun to help wrap be more flexible.
I would have someone hold the bar while wrapping (or use a c clamp next time )
I painted the bolts (and any gaps) with enamel model paint
I would recommend using a washer under the bolt heads - it 'warped' the wrap when torqued down.
Overall - I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
