For those not aware of these specific settings:
JB4 User Adjustment Settings as of v6 firmware:
Boost by gear: Enter amount of boost reduction in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear. Very useful for improving traction on RWD vehicles. We generally run 5psi in 1st, 1psi in 2nd, on our GT on stock tires to avoid wheel spin during launch mode. This reduces boost in 1st gear by 5psi, and reduces boost in 2nd gear by 1psi. You can reduce boost below factory levels as needed.
Fuel Bias: Used to enable fuel control wires allow direct adjustment of the air/fuel ratio as a function of boost and engine speed. A value of 100 is approximately 1.25:1 leaner than stock. Note the suggest settings and only adjust on the dyno or if working carefully off data logs.
Map6 Boost: Allows you to enter a customized boost profile. You'll enter only peak boost over stock here, so 6.0 means add a maximum of 6psi over stock, at that RPM point. The JB4 will blend this request with pedal input, engine temperatures, etc, to provide a smooth mapping.
FutureUseD BIT settings:
Bit0: Disable fuel control. Provides a quick way to turn off the JB4 fuel control without having to set all fuel bias values to 0. Useful for diagnostics.
Bit1: Enable to disable JB4 gas pedal mapping. Normally boost target is increased as a function of gas pedal input to ensure a smooth and predictable tuning increase. Default mapping is 0% boost until 30% pedal input, and a linear scale from 30%-100% input. Turning this bit on will disable this mapping and provide 100% of the target at all pedal inputs.
Bit2: Enable to disable JB4 warm up and over temperature protection. Normally boost is kept stock until oil/water temps are over 160F to properly lubricate the turbo/engine, and boost decays if oil temps exceed 280F. Turning this bit on will disable this protection.
