Since having the dp, I had a very very insignificant scratch but that was on a really steep shit concrete crumbling at top floor garage
I have a gash on the underside of my bumper luckily u cant see unless underneath.
I am not lowered completely stock. I'd say the underside of your front bumper will prob get damaged before and worse than having s slightly lower hanging downpipe
I sent an inquiry last night because I purchased Monday. They have no intention to redesign due to limited spacing with the larger piping. BUT, they have been running them on lowered vehicles and have not run into any clearance/scraping issues.
I'm not sure they could improve on the design. The SSR pipes are larger diameter round tubing whereas the stock ones are smaller and oval shaped. If they were to push the SSR pipes up higher than you risk rubbing the heat shielding and creating noise/damage. I'll take a slight droop over rubbing the heat shielding because as Hojae84 said, you're more likely to scrape the front bumper before you'll ever hit the downpipes.

I appreciate your explanation that makes sense....These DP were or are the most reasonable logical and practical upgrade to increase horsepower more than enough for the use I am giving my Stinger. I been there with my former 97 Transam, more engine power needs better brakes (discs, pads, fluid), better suspension with sway bars, braces (mainly, for the useless sunroof) and a better electronic adaptative suspension calibration. So, 30HPs more in this GT car is more than enough...IMHO ...again....
Damn, mine will be here Monday. Was it really so loud that the boss would not allow it? My fiance dealt with my super loud optima, hated it, but also knew she couldn't get me to change it... Bummer man!

Actually, not even close! The ONLY noticeable increase in sound was partial throttle acceleration. Just a slight increase in exhaust tone, but compared to how quiet the car is stock, boss isn’t having it. And, for all well I’ve had it, I’ve only taken advantage of the high end horsepower twice. So, I’m good either way. Another project, right?!
I just joined this morning to research downpipes I want to buy, and low and behold...I saw you are local and looking to sell yours. I am in the Mesa/Gilbert area and very interested. Is this for the RWD model?

Stupid ? of the day. I have a full borla exhaust.
Can I add these down pipes to that. Is there any benefit at this point. If I can will there be any performance advantage or has the borla exhaust already taken care of that. Seems like all the fast cars have down pipes.
