Please be aware that you must contact support@racechip.com to receive individual customer support. Please include your RaceChip order number or the serial number of your product to your inquiry.

This forum is only for general questions about the product and the installation. The questions here will be answered by other users of the product and sometimes me. Our customer support can't use this forum, because the customer support team consists of 20 people, that are using specific systems, tools and KPIs to ensure high quality and fast responses. These systems are not connected to this forum.
 
Installation instructions:

Some customers did not get the correct installation instructions. Please see the following PDF for the RaceChip installation guide
Edit:
The correct installation guide is the one with a Turbo GDi engine cover in Step 2 of the instructions.
The installation guide with the VW cover is a generic one.

Hey RaceChip!

Can you please post simple dyno results for GTS Black on all 7 settings. It would also be most helpful to do the same with 91 octane fuel, the best that many of us can get in the US. I'm in on the tuning and simply would like to know what hp/t gains can be expected. Have spent hours searching here and other sites and haven't found. I think it would be a big benefit to the forum, and also help RaceChip.

Hey, I am sorry, we have currently a very long pipeline of vehicles waiting to get optimized in our R&D department. They currently don't have the resources to get a Kia Stinger in and do 14 dyno charts. You'll find the dyno chart in the maximum setting and good fuel quality on following page: RaceChip News | RaceChip unleashes true potential of the Kia Stinger GT
In lower settings or 91 octane, the chart will look the same, just the numbers will be slightly lower.
 
@RaceChip,

Can you give us an general idea what slightly lower is? Many of us use 91 octane and the information would be most helpful.

My personal estimation is 4hp to 10hp difference (when we are talking about high vs. low fuel quality)

I apologize for the long time you have to wait for an answer. We are still trying to set up our US support. It's not easy to find highly skilled people here.
Currently, the RaceChip HQ in Germany is doing the support and they have a backlog because they have not enough people.
So please expect to not get answers on the same day. I am sorry for your inconvenience.

RaceChip more than delivers and the proof is in the pudding. This is not a paid promotion. I recently installed the RaceChip GTS Black in my 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 3.3L RWD. I'm running 101 octane fuel. Chip is on Map 7. Other than the RaceChip GTS Black and RaceChip XLR the car is stock. I used DynaPack for the dyno. Some may argue DynaPack reads higher than a Dynojet or Mustang and some may argue lower (from WORKS Motorsports testing of cars in their shop vs other dynos their dyno is more on the conservative side), therefore the focus here should be on the (SAFE) increase in HP, Torque, PSI from a very sophisticated small piggyback chip, easy to install, and so much bang for the buck. It more than delivers. Per the team that performed the dyno (great group of guys at WORKS Motorsports https://store.worksmotorsports.com/Default.asp) at the Sonoma Raceway in Sonom,CA, who I highly recommend, the chip actually smoothed out the HP band over stock. It eliminated some of the dips that can be seen at the higher RPMs. Based on the charts, it certainly appears the chip is safe as advertised, and the stock exhaust and intake are more than capable of handling the extra power. They mentioned the AFR is rich which is a testament to the fact that RaceChip is erring on the side of caution. With that being said, the AFR can be leaned to a value of 11.5, still cautious, but produce more HP.

A question to RaceChip, will you be offer the ability to adjust the AFR in a future version of the RaceChip?

Blue line is stock (chip disabled)
Red line RaceChip GTS Black (Map 7) enabled

HP:
Stock: 311.6
Chip: 384.3
Gain of 72.6 HP!

Torque (lb-ft):
Stock: 389.6
Chip: 500.4
Gain of 110.9 lb-ft!

PSI (Boost):
Stock: 14.02
Chip: 19.64
Gain of 5.6 PSI!

AFR:
Approximately 10.5 at high RPMs

Good question. When we develop our tunes, we always make sure that the AFR remains at a healthy level. We don't go beyond. So, there is no need for actively modify the AFR.

Of course, you might WANT to get even more power and WANT to modify it. The only issue here is that this can effect emissions. We don't want to enable our customers to harm emissions with our products (even though we sell our products for racing vehicles that are not registerd).
This is no final decision, only the reason why we don't offer it right now.
