Is anyone feeling or hearing a difference once installed? Those of you having them on for awhile...how's the quality...any chips or dulling?

I’ve had mine on for a couple weeks now. I have a 2.0 so only using one but overall the quality and finish are very good. The finish does not seem like it will fail plus it’s really not in direct sunlight to possibly fade. As far as the performance, I do notice a difference when on the highway at higher speeds. The car feels like it accelerates a little faster.

Forgive me if it has been covered already but I couldn't find the subject being touched on yet.. I think this is a sweet mod, but is there concern that they would funnel water directly into the air box if you drive in the rain???

Technically there is an increased risk. However air filters use oil to help prevent water from getting in and since the filter and air box are so far back it's unlikely there would be an issue unless you hit standing water while pulling at least a little hard. I doubt even in heavy rain at highway speeds it would be an issue but maybe someone who actually has one has tested this and can tell us.

Hello, we did torrential rain testing.

There just isnt enough water in rain to cause an issue. Youd have to hit a puddle 3 feet deep at wide open throttle at 60 mph to ingest enough water to make it past the filters, i think if you did that youd probably have bigger problems. We do all our rain testing here in florida. As long as you stay out of 3 foot puddles, youll be fine

I am surprised there is no sound increase, even if a little.

The factory boxes are the ones silencing the intake, unless you replace them with aftermarket intakes, these will not make the intake louder.

I have not done much digging under the hood yet, but I know on some vehicles the intake air flows through a separate resinator box to silence the sound before going through the filter and into the charge pipe. Do we have one and could it possibly be blocked off or altered?

Correct. Such is the case on the VH37 engine. On the Stinger there is no silencer box.

There's not a separate silencer void before the turbos (but there is one hanging off the intake manifold, interestingly enough. Actually, maybe that's a vacuum reservoir?), BUT the filter boxes have a bunch of small voids/ridges molded into the inside. Those, plus having to make several turns, effectively mute the PSSSH.

Couldn't remove the plastic shroud after removing all the screws, our crash support bar is different than the one in the US and the shroud just doesn't have enough room to get out. So I had two choices, either cut it to get it out or do some trimming and try to fit the intakes with the shroud in place. Brought the Dremel out and with some patience managed to make them fit.

Good work, you saved a lot more of the shroud than I would have expected to be possible.

What color matches the best with micro blue? performance blue?

Nope! Just got mine. Performance blue is *very* purple. Covered it with a metallic black spray paint. Maybe the straight Blue?

Id say go with our standard blue like oddball suggested
