Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

I was stopped at a set of lights last week and the bloke behind me actually got out of his car and ran up to me for a quick chat through my window while the light was red before quickly running back to his car when the light changed.

Looked good but I couldn’t get closer because it was in a secure FAA parking lot in Salt Lake City, UT. Saw another red one same parking lot a few hours later. This is just a few blocks from where I work. Hope to meet them some day.

Now that is what I call enthusiasm for the brand! :D

Lol, yeah he was pumped. He sticks his head in the window and says “how does it go mate, alright? It looks fkn great from the back! Shit! Gotta go!’ as the light turned green. I had actually seen him running up to the car in the wing mirror and had to quickly review my recent driving behaviour to be confident that he wasn’t coming to punch me in the head!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Any details on how you did the red trim on the edge of the vent behind the rear wheel?

Sure can eflyguy, its vinyl wrap trim cut to the designed size and then all the surface is ceramic protected. this way it has longer life span but also can be removed at any time without any discolouring issues. :):sneaky:IMG_0054.webp

Just passed a sunset yellow in Vienna VA, had Maryland plates. Makes it the second yellow I have seen.

Well gosh, I was gonna find the Northern VA thread to ask there but I guess you were the white Stinger I saw as I was heading to Tacobamba in Vienna?

Lol, I had a feeling it was you. No I wasn't in my car was in the wife's land rover. I keep meaning to go to there for lunch. Next time your headed this way let me know and we can meet up.

Well that makes sense since the white Stinger was technically in Tysons when we passed, so if anyone has that can say hello too!

I've seen two so far here in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA area. A red one driving down a main strip a few blocks from my house, and a blue one that belongs to a guy I've spoken with in another Kia group. Saw the red one while driving - almost plowed my Optima into the median trying to get a longer look. Saw the blue one in a much safer locale (department store parking lot) where I was able to get a longer look. Department store staff collecting carts looked at me like I had a third arm growing from my neck. Funny enough, the blue one belonged to the guy I chatted with from the other group. LOL! Small world!

I can't express how much more awesomer these cars look in -person-. Pics are nice, images and videos are nice, but standing 2 feet away from the real deal, the drool doth flow.

My very first Stinger sighting in the wild Redwood road overpass of I-80 in SLC, UT. It was a Stinger Premium AWD. February 13, 2018, about 9 weeks after I got mine. Surprised it took that long to see my first. Passed the guys and waived but they didn’t notice until I was a few cars up and I saw the passenger slap the other guy on the shoulder and point my direction but we were going separate ways.

You know what is funny about driving one? you can't tell firsthand what "you" look like. It wasn't until I was following @Gordo a couple of days ago that I noticed for the first time that the turn signals in the back mirror the nine LED layout of the front turn signals. Yeah, I could have just experimented with my own lights and walked around the car with signals flashing. But it never occurred

Interesting brake light. Are our GT1 brake lights like that? I haven't noticed. You'd think I did when watching yours, but now I can't recall how the brake lights look! :P

Yes @MerlintheMad our brake lights are just like that although the first time I noticed it was when you were in the parking lot at Denny’s. I like how they look when the brakes are applied. Pretty unique.

Was walking the dogs through the misty rain at night i only recognised the passing Stinger by its tail lights, wow i forgot how awesome and unique they are.

When are you going to get one?

If all goes as planned - next weekend. There are several 2018 GT2s left in my area that are equipped how I want, and the current incentives I -think- are about as good as they're going to get. Of course, a lot can happen in a week, and if they're gone, they're gone. :)
